During PA OH Gives, PHN Charitable Foundation is raising support for literacy initiatives that expand access to books for children and families throughout our communities.

One way we do that is through our Little Free Libraries, which provide free access to books and encourage a lifelong love of reading. To date, we have:

Robin Spangler, MD, provides family medicine services. She joined PHN in February 2026. Dr. Spangler earned her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. She also completed her family medicine residency program at Geisginger Medical Center.

Our stepped-up series continues as we celebrate and spotlight our valued employees' outstanding work and compassion. This week, we’re focusing on Stephen Sedmak, LPC, who is one of our behavioral health providers at our SMG Family Medicine location. A patient recently commented:

“Steven Sedmak has far exceeded my expectations as a therapist! He is the first counselor in over 20 years to try to get to the root of my needs. Working with him has greatly improved my mental health. He is very knowledgeable about many aspects of mental health and trauma. He is very kind and patient. He is on time and lets me work at my own pace. He returns my calls promptly if I'm in crisis. I can't say enough good things about him. He is amazing and an asset to PHN.”

Due to an unexpected power outage, our Petroleum Valley Medical Center remains temporarily closed for today, June 16, 2026. We are working to restore service as quickly as possible. Patients with scheduled appointments will be seen via telehealth, when appropriate, to ensure continuity of care while service is being restored.
