🌥️🏄‍♂️ Paddleboarding was a success tonight!

The skies stayed cloudy, a few raindrops tried to crash the party, and for a while it felt more like we were paddling along the coast than at Oak Bottom. 🌊

We were treated to some incredible views, welcomed a few new faces, shared plenty of laughs, enjoyed a picnic together, and spent another evening doing what ROAR is all about—building community, making connections, and proving that a little questionable weather doesn't have to stop a good adventure.

Thanks to everyone who came out and made it another great night on the water. We can't wait to see you at the next one! 💙

🌊 Paddleboarding is ON! 🌊

The weather is looking more favorable as the day progresses, and we're planning to hit the water at 6:00 PM at Oak Bottom. 🙌

Bonus: the cloud cover may save us from needing sunscreen tonight. 😎☁️

See you out there! 🚣‍♂️🌅

🔥 This Sunday the 31st, come support our amazing friends at Mister Peri Peri’s Grill as they donate 15% of proceeds to R.O.A.R. (Redding Outdoor Addiction Recovery)!
That means every bite of delicious chicken is basically a charitable act… so technically, ordering extra fries is community service. 🍗😂
We’re incredibly grateful for the love and support from local businesses that believe in recovery, connection, and giving people a place to belong. Come hungry, bring your friends, and help us turn good food into good things for the recovery community! ❤️💪

🌅 Paddleboarding at Oak Bottom Tonight at 6PM! 🛶

We’ve updated tonight’s location and will now be meeting out at Oak Bottom for an evening on the water! Whether you’ve got a kayak, paddleboard, or just want to come hang out with good people, we’d love to have you out there. 🙌

⏰ Start Time: 6:00 PM

We’ll have 5 extra paddleboards available for anyone who needs something to float on — first come, first serve unless you reach out ahead of time to reserve one.

⚠️ If multiple people will be sharing a paddleboard, please bring an extra life jacket if possible. We only have one life jacket per paddleboard available.

Last week’s turnout was amazing, and during all the laughter and connection, people started talking about doing a little potluck-style sunset watch tonight. 🌄🥪🍉 So feel free to bring some food or snacks to share! And if you can’t bring anything, don’t stress — there will probably be plenty to go around.

🌦️ The weather is currently looking favorable, with the chances of rain tapering off toward the end of the paddleboard session. That said, stay tuned around 4:00 PM for an update post letting everyone know if we’re still on or if we need to cancel due to rain or possible lightning. Safety first! ⛈️

Come enjoy the water, the sunset, the fellowship, and the kind of evening that reminds us recovery doesn’t have to be boring. 💙

✨ New faces are always welcome. Come make some memories with us.

🌧️🌲 Rain or shine, the adventure goes on! 🌲🌧️

Tonight’s hike out at Oak Bottom may have come with some rain, but that didn’t stop people from showing up, connecting, and making memories together. 🙌

There was plenty of laughter, great conversation, and even a few wildlife sightings along the way — including geese and a snake keeping an eye on the trail. 🪿🐍

That’s the beauty of getting outside together: you never really know what you’re going to find out there, but you can count on having a great time and good people to share it with. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who came out tonight and embraced the adventure despite the weather. If you’ve been thinking about joining us, this is your sign — come out sometime! Whether it’s sunshine, clouds, or rain, there’s always connection, encouragement, and a little adventure waiting. 💪🌿

🌲🥾 ROAR Hike Tonight at Oak Bottom! 6PM 🥾🌲

Join us this evening for a beautiful hike out at Oak Bottom at Whiskeytown Lake! This will be a 5.2-mile out-and-back hike with amazing views of Shasta Bally, Whiskeytown Lake, and plenty of gorgeous scenery along the way. 🌄💙

The trail is relatively flat, making it a great option for all experience levels — whether you’re a seasoned hiker or just looking to get outside and enjoy some fresh air and fellowship. 🙌

📍 Trailhead: Just before the main Oak Bottom parking lot — look for the trailhead on your right.
🥾 Distance: 5.2 miles out-and-back
💧 Be sure to bring appropriate shoes, water, and snacks for the hike.

As always, our hikes are about more than just the miles — they’re about connection, support, laughter, and building community together one step at a time. ❤️

We hope to see everyone out there tonight! 🌲☀️

🌧️🥒 BAD NEWS, PICKLE PEOPLE… tonight’s R.O.A.R. Pickleball is CANCELLED due to rain in the forecast this evening! Apparently the sky decided we were having TOO much fun. 😭☔
BUT don’t worry — we’ll be back SAME TIME, SAME PLACE next week ready to d**k, laugh, and probably still hit the net way too much. 😂🏓
GOOD NEWS: We’re extending the Pickleball Gift Basket drawing until next week, so you still have a chance to get your name entered! 🎁🥒
Also don’t forget THIS SUNDAY, MAY 31ST — our amazing friends at Mister Peri Peri’s Grill will be donating 15% of ALL proceeds to Redding Outdoor Addiction Recovery! 🔥🐔 Seriously… best chicken in the world. Come support an incredible local business while supporting recovery in our community! ❤️
