We painted wooden sunflowers! 🌻

Creativity was in full bloom as we painted wooden sunflowers and added our own unique touches. From bright colors to creative color combinations, each sunflower turned out a little different and full of personality.

It was a fun afternoon of painting, visiting, and making beautiful decorations to brighten our spaces.

After a few fishing trips, we finally hooked some fish today! 🎣

Persistence paid off as we reeled in a small bass and a bluegill. It may not have been the biggest catch, but the excitement of finally getting a bite made it a great day on the water.

We're already looking forward to our next fishing adventure!

Once again, we took a chance and headed to Dairy Cove—and once again, we missed the storms! 🍦

We enjoyed our ice cream while keeping an eye on the weather and were happy to stay dry. As a bonus, we even got to watch some live tree cutting, which made for an interesting afternoon and gave us something extra to talk about while enjoying our treats.

Another great outing filled with good company, delicious ice cream, and a little unexpected entertainment!

Our Annual Backyard Cookout was a tremendous success! Thank you to everyone who joined us for a day of fun and community support. We were thrilled to bring together residents, families, friends, and community members for such a meaningful event benefiting ROADS (Reaching Out Against Depression and Su***de).

The day was packed with activities, including live music by DJ Jay Kruz, face painting by Ali, a petting zoo from The Funny Farm, fishing in the pond, rock painting, bucket raffles, bake and craft sales, and an incredible selection of raffle baskets and prizes. Guests also enjoyed free hamburgers, brats, hot dogs, and refreshments thanks to the generosity of many wonderful supporters.

We would like to extend a special thank you to everyone who donated raffle items, volunteered their time, attended the event, and helped behind the scenes. There were so many generous contributors that we simply can't name them all, but please know your support made a difference. Thank you for helping make this year's Backyard Cookout one to remember!

A bittersweet day for The Cottages family. 💙

Ava Paiser is heading off to pursue her dreams, and while we'll miss her greatly, we couldn't be happier for her and all that lies ahead.

Ava is moving to Eau Claire to continue her education and pursue her goal of becoming an RN and eventually earning her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. Her dedication, compassion, and hard work have made a lasting impact on our residents, tenants, staff, and families during her time at The Cottages.

As a small token of our appreciation, we presented Ava with a housewarming gift and wished her well on this exciting new adventure.

Best of luck, Ava! We are proud of you and can't wait to see all that you accomplish in the years ahead.

Yesterday, rain was in the forecast, but we decided to take a chance and head out for ice cream anyway! 🍦

Luckily, we beat the rain and enjoyed our sweet treats before the weather rolled in. Sometimes taking a chance pays off, and this outing was the perfect example. Great ice cream, great company, and not a raindrop in sight while we were there!
