Shadow work is the most powerful, insightful, and deepest type of healing you can do. It helps you become self-aware. Doing this work will change your life!
We all have a dark side. The famous depth psychologist Carl Jung called this the “shadow” or black part of our personality. The ‘shadow’ refers to hidden parts of our being, often hidden in our unconsciousness. It may be parts of ourselves we try to repress or ignore because they make us feel sad or wounded. We don’t show society our shadow self and we feel the need to hide these parts of ourselves. Many times these traits and beliefs were at one time adaptive and helped us survive traumatic and complicated situations. But now these personality characteristics are maladaptive and do not serve us a higher purpose anymore. Carl Jung believed in the integration of the shadow side so that our full self is acknowledged, and we can live in a balanced way. We all have inner demons and devils in our psyche. Rejecting this pushes them further into your unconsciousness. True healing means becoming whole. It also means you must assimilate your shadow into your personality. Admit you have a shadow and confront it. Own it…it’s yours. How can you know your light if you don’t know your darkness? Shadow work is the most powerful, insightful, and deepest type of healing you can do. It helps you become self-aware. Doing this work will change your life! Take a journey deep into your psyche this autumn with Christina Wilke-Burbach PhD and explore your shadow and bring it into the light! This is the perfect time of the year to do contemplative and depth work. Autumn to Winter is a time of the hermit archetype…going within ourselves to do contemplative, introspective, and meditative work so we can emerge in the spring/summer and step into our light.

You are encouraged to take the entire series for the most benefit. But you may ABSOLUTELY still join us if you cannot attend every group or if you missed a previous group. There are no prerequisites. Attend whatever groups you can. You can also make up a missed group session and do an individual session with Dr. Christina (she does offer individual shadow work sessions too).
The Shadow Work Series is 9 groups. Each group is a 2.5-hour session. We start this powerful series as the wheel of the year turns to the darker half of the year. The end of the series will culminate with a Soul Retrieval, when the light begins to grow brighter and days get longer.

Tuesday December 15, 2026. From 6:30pm to 9pm Central Time-Session -Session #9: – Soul Retrieval. The closure and culmination of the series. We are in-between the December New Moon and The Winter Solstice. The moon and the sun both begin to grow brighter. We will tap into this magickal energy to accelerate and support our retrieval process. In the Soul Retrieval, we find, reclaim, and call back to us the bits and pieces of our soul that fractured and scattered across the universe when we experienced trauma, suffering, pain, and hurt. When we experience trauma and our soul fractures, it fills in with shadow. By reclaiming these parts of ourselves, we become more whole and more complete. About Dr. Christina: Christina Wilke-Burbach PhD is a Spiritual/Paranormal Psychologist, Anthropologist, Death Witch, Death Doula, Deathwalker, Psychopomp, Psychic, Poisoner, Occultist, Cemeterian, and works full-time in the Deathcare Industry. She is a High Priestess with The New York City Wiccan Family Temple, an ordained minister, & Reiki Master Teacher. Her specialty is working with the dead. She works exclusively with chthonic, daemonic, and Underworld Deities.
