Our office will be closed until Wednesday, May 27th so we can enjoy an extended holiday weekend, recharge our nervous systems, and soak up some time with family and friends 🫶

Change requires more than wanting it.
It requires changing both your mindset and your actions.

So many people come into the office and tell me,
“Your posts resonate with me.”
“I know my nervous system is dysregulated.”
“I’m ready for something different.”

And then I explain that true nervous system healing is going to look very different than what most people are used to.

It takes time.
It takes repetition.
It takes consistency.
And yes… it’s an investment — financially, physically, emotionally, and mentally.

We live in a world of quick fixes.
A society fueled by anxiety, stress, convenience, and instant gratification.
We want to feel better immediately… while still holding onto the same habits, routines, and expectations that got us here in the first place.

But healing doesn’t work that way.

Two adjustments won’t change your nervous system.
Honestly? Even ten adjustments usually won’t undo years of stress patterns, tension, compensation, and dysregulation.

There’s a reason people say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result.

I am not the same as the chiropractor you may have seen before.
I do things differently because I don’t just want temporary change for you.

I want your nervous system to become balanced.
Adaptable.
Resilient.

If your child is struggling with anxiety, monthly adjustments likely won’t create the changes you’re hoping for.
If you’ve had chronic sciatica for years, two visits probably won’t resolve the root cause.

Healing asks for participation.
Consistency.
Patience.

You have to put in the time to reap the rewards.

If this weather has taught us anything… it’s that Wisconsin likes to play emotional games 🥶☀️😂

One day it’s sunshine and iced coffee…
the next it’s back to heated seats and wondering why we own shorts.

But warmer days are coming 🌿
And honestly? So are slower evenings, barefoot kiddos, open windows, fresh air, bonfires, lake days, and nervous systems that finally exhale a little.

Until then… we’ll keep showing up, staying cozy, getting adjusted, and pretending 45° feels “not that bad” 😅

To my mama who packs my snacks, gives the best cuddles, wipes my tears, reads my favorite book over and over, and somehow always knows where my favorite cup is…thank you 🌼

Thank you for helping my little body grow strong.
For choosing nourishing foods, fresh air, slower moments, and rest when you can.
For paying attention when something feels “off.”
For bringing me to get checked and adjusted so my nervous system can function the best it can while I grow 🫶

I may not be able to say it all yet…
but every giggle, every milestone, every peaceful nap, and every “watch this mommy!” is my way of saying thank you.

Life as a small business owner ☕️🫶

Sometimes it’s calling in a crew at 7am to tear out flooring because of a water issue.
Sometimes it’s hauling towels to the laundromat on your lunch break.
Sometimes it’s sitting quietly at a coffee shop, latte in hand, just trying to catch your breath before heading back in.

Small business ownership means wearing a dozen different hats… usually all at the same time.

What you see when you walk through the doors at intūn ChiroCare is so much more than adjustments. It’s the behind-the-scenes moments, the problem solving, the long days, the teamwork, the love poured into creating a space that feels safe, calm, and welcoming for everyone who walks in.

And honestly? Adjusting is still my absolute favorite part 🤍

So here’s to a long few days of repair and rebuilding. Funny how life mirrors chiropractic care sometimes… healing and rebuilding takes time, patience, and consistency.

Some days look like sunshine on the water…
but don’t feel like sunshine on the inside.

A friend reached out and asked me to meet her at the lake—Starbucks in hand, honesty in heart.
I almost said no. I had a list of things I “should” be doing.

But she was honoring that she was having a hard day…
and I knew showing up mattered more than checking boxes.

We need to normalize this.
The hard days. The off days. The “I’m not okay today” days.

Because the truth is—we all have them.
And pretending we don’t doesn’t make us stronger… it just makes us feel more alone.

I truly believe if we created more space for honesty, support, and real connection,
we’d see a shift in the mental health struggles so many are facing.

Life isn’t black and white.
The healing, the growth, the connection… it all lives in the grey.

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month—
give yourself permission to have a bad day.
And be the person who shows up when someone else is having one.

🧠 Mental Health Awareness Month

And honestly… they go hand in hand.

Laughter is one of the simplest ways to shift your state.
It softens the body.
It calms the mind.
It reminds your nervous system that you are safe.

But let’s be real…
when stress has been building, when your system feels overwhelmed, or when life just feels like a lot…
laughter doesn’t always come easily.
