Today is a perfect day to talk about Bitter herbs!

Bitter herbs don’t always get the love they deserve, but they play a powerful role in digestive health. Bitter foods help stimulate stomach acid, bile, and digestive enzymes — all things your body needs to properly break down food and absorb nutrients. Try eating them before large meals!

What are some of your favorite bitter herb recipes?

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! ☘️ Hope everyone enjoyed their cabbage today!

Fun fact: cruciferous vegetables like cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, and Brussels sprouts are incredibly supportive for female hormone balance. They contain compounds that help the body metabolize and eliminate excess estrogen, which can play a key role in overall hormonal health.

So whether it’s for tradition or wellness, that cabbage on your plate is doing more than you think 💚

Here’s to nourishing our bodies and celebrating the little things!

🌸 Spring Cleaning for a Healthier Home! 🏡

Spring is the perfect time to refresh your home and your health. Small changes can make a big difference in reducing allergens, germs, and stress in your living space.

Here are 5 simple spring cleaning tips to try this week:

🧹 1. Start with fresh air – Open windows for 10–15 minutes to help improve indoor air quality.
🛏 2. Wash bedding weekly – Sheets, pillowcases, and blankets can collect dust mites and allergens.
🧼 3. Disinfect high-touch surfaces – Think doorknobs, light switches, phones, and countertops.
🌿 4. Reduce clutter – Fewer items means less dust buildup and a calmer environment.
🧽 5. Don’t forget hidden dust spots – Ceiling fans, vents, and baseboards often collect allergens.

✨ Healthy home = healthier you.

Tick Season is Here!

As the weather warms up, ticks become more active and can spread illnesses such as Lyme disease.

Help prevent tick bites:
• Wear long sleeves and pants in wooded or grassy areas
• Use insect repellent (picaridin is an example)
• Check your body, children, and pets for ticks after being outdoors
• Shower soon after coming inside

If you develop a rash, fever, or flu-like symptoms after a tick bite, contact our office right away.

Stay safe and enjoy the outdoors! 🌿

🌱 Spring reminds us how change really happens.

Every canyon you’ve ever seen was carved by water — not in a single moment, but through small, steady movement over time. Drop by drop, flow by flow, water shapes even the hardest stone.

Your goals work the same way.
You don’t need one giant leap — you need simple, consistent changes that keep moving you forward.

💧 One better habit.
💧 One small improvement.
💧 One step taken today instead of “someday.”

This spring, let nature be the reminder: powerful transformation comes from persistence, not perfection.

What’s one small change you’re making this season to move closer to your goals? 🌿

Hate to admit this...but...this is me. Snow forms around particles in the atmosphere aka dirt. Have you ever looked at a glass of melted snow? It is rarely clear. It is safe to make snow cream! I am not saying people should not do it. I am just part of the group that sees snow as dirt piles and won't eat it.

I love winter being winter! Meaning, this time of year is supposed to be cold with snow. The weather is perfect to air out comforters, blankets, stuffed animals to kill off bacteria, dust mites, mold.

Did you know that severe cold snaps also reduce harmful insects such as ticks, mosquitoes, flies this upcoming spring and summer. I hope I have less pests in my garden this year!

Also airing out your home for 5 minutes (turn down the furnace) helps reduce mold in the home and freshens the air to reduce illness.

Every season has its pros and cons. It is up to us to use the resources we have available.
