Meet Dr. Alexandria Chapie, PT, DPT, ATC, OMPT
Alex graduated from Central Michigan University in 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Oakland University in 2020 and completed Oakland University’s Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (OMPT) certification in 2023.
Alex has dedicated her career to outpatient orthopedics, treating patients of all ages with a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions. She believes every patient deserves to feel heard and that lasting results come from identifying the root cause of pain—not simply treating the symptoms. She enjoys building meaningful relationships with her patients while combining skilled manual therapy, individualized exercise, and education to create treatment plans that fit each person’s goals and lifestyle. Whether helping someone recover from surgery, return to sport, prevent injury, or simply move with greater confidence, her passion is empowering people to get back to doing what they love.
In addition to treating patients, Alex has been a Pure Barre instructor for over six years and has completed STOTT Pilates Reformer training. Her background in movement analysis and biomechanics gives her a unique perspective in helping individuals improve strength, mobility, movement quality, and long-term function.
When she’s not in the clinic, Alex enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, teaching Pure Barre, weightlifting, and taking classes whenever she can.
