We are hiring for a technician! Job duties include laundry, cleaning patient rooms and equipment, ordering/purchasing supplies, filing, assisting as needed in office, and assisting Physical therapists when needing extra help.

👶 GROSS MOTOR MILESTONES: 0–12 MONTHS 💙

Your baby is learning something new every day! From lifting their head during tummy time to rolling, sitting, crawling, pulling to stand, and taking those first steps, gross motor development lays the foundation for movement, play, balance, coordination, strength, and independence.

Every child develops at their own pace, but recognizing and addressing delays early can make a meaningful difference.

🚩 When should you consider talking with a physical therapist?

• Your baby is not progressing toward expected milestones
• Difficulty with tummy time or head control
• Prefers using one side of the body
• Seems unusually stiff or floppy

If you have been in our clinic on Tuesdays or Thursdays, you probably had the pleasure of meeting Ethan Crunk. Ethan spent his summer with us getting observation hours to apply to PT school. All the patients loved him (especially the kids) and Miranda loved having an extra set of helping hands. We want to wish him luck as he returns to Wheaton College in Illinois for his junior year. We know he will do great and be a fabulous PT one day!

🍎🎒 Back-to-School Backpack Safety Starts with the Right Fit!

A properly fitted backpack can help prevent neck, shoulder, and back pain throughout the school year.

✔️ Wear both shoulder straps—never sling a backpack over one shoulder.
✔️ Adjust the straps so the backpack fits snugly against the back, not hanging low.
✔️ The top of the backpack should sit at or just below the shoulders, and the bottom should rest at or above the waist.
✔️ Keep the load light—no more than 10–15% of your child’s body weight.
✔️ Pack only what you need and place heavier items closest to the back.

Small adjustments today can help prevent pain and injuries tomorrow. Start the school year off strong by wearing your backpack the right way!
