Today, Tennessee feels a little less sparkly. 💔✨

From the Great Smoky Mountains to Nashville and far beyond, Dolly Parton gave the world a lifetime of music, laughter, kindness, and joy. But here in Tennessee, she was something even more special — she was one of our own.

Her songs became the soundtrack to so many lives, including those of generations of residents throughout The Waters. We’ve sung along to her music, danced to her songs, dressed up in her honor, shared stories about her, and made more than a few wonderful memories along the way.

Today, as we look back on one of those fun-filled Dolly days at The Waters, these photos feel just a little more special. 🤍

Dolly, thank you for the music. Thank you for the laughter. Thank you for the generosity, the rhinestones, the big hair, the bigger heart, and all the joy you shared with the world.

Most of all, thank you for giving Tennessee so much to be proud of.

Today we say goodbye, but we also celebrate one incredible life and a legacy that will live on for generations.

Recently we celebrated our sweet Activities Assistant, Jess Cox, as our residents came together to throw her a very special baby shower! From the decorations and treats to plenty of love and well wishes for mom and baby, it was such a sweet afternoon. 🌸

Cheers for our amazing dads! 🍻

Last Sunday, we celebrated Father’s Day by honoring the incredible fathers who have helped shape our lives. Residents spent time reminiscing and sharing stories about their dads.

Of course, no celebration would be complete without a sweet treat—everyone enjoyed delicious root beer floats while making even more wonderful memories together!

A huge shoutout to Haley from Adoration Home Health for bringing so much fun each month with her popular Bean Auction Game! Held on the last Wednesday of every month, this resident favorite is always filled with friendly competition, laughter, and exciting prizes.

Thank you, Haley, for sharing your time, kindness, and enthusiasm with our residents. We appreciate all you do to make each visit so special! 💙

CNA Week at The Waters of Shelbyville has been full of fun, treats, and appreciation! 🤠🍩🍦

Our amazing CNAs enjoyed donuts, ice cream sandwiches, special goodie bags, and a fun-filled Western Day celebration. We may have had the treats, but our CNAs are the real stars of the show!

Thank you for your hard work, compassion, and dedication to our residents each and every day. We are so grateful for all that you do and are proud to celebrate you this week and every week.
