September isn't a reset button.

It's easy to tell yourself, "I'll start in September." But your mental health doesn't wait for the calendar to change.

You don't have to wait for a new month to ask for help, set a boundary, prioritize rest, or begin healing. You can choose to care for yourself today, exactly where you are.

Progress isn't about starting over. It's about taking one small step forward, no matter when you begin.

If you've been waiting for the right time to prioritize your mental health, this is your reminder that you don't have to wait any longer.

MJA Behavioral Health & Wellness is here to support you whenever you're ready. Reach out to our team to learn more about our services or schedule your first appointment. Your healing can start today.

It's completely normal to have questions before your first therapy session. In fact, most people do.

The first session is simply about getting to know you. There's no pressure to have all the answers or know exactly where to start. Therapy is a space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace.

Don't let unanswered questions keep you from getting the support you deserve. If you're thinking about starting therapy, our team is here to help you find the right clinician and make the process feel a little less overwhelming.

Reach out to MJA Behavioral Health & Wellness today to schedule your first appointment.

Happy International Dog Day! 🐾

Meet Lucas, our MJA therapy dog in training!

Lucas is currently in the office on Wednesdays with Marissa D as he continues his journey toward becoming a certified therapy dog. While he’s still learning, he’s already bringing plenty of joy, comfort, and connection to the MJA community.

Animal-assisted therapy can provide many benefits, including helping reduce stress and anxiety, increasing feelings of comfort and safety, encouraging connection, and creating a calming presence during the therapeutic process.

Sometimes having a furry friend nearby can make it a little easier to take a deep breath, open up, and feel supported.

We’re excited to watch Lucas grow in his role and can’t wait to see the positive impact he continues to make! 🐶

What’s in our MJA therapy offices?

A therapy room is more than just a place to sit, it’s a space designed to help you feel comfortable, supported, and safe while doing the work of healing.

Inside our offices, you’ll find thoughtful details that help make your sessions feel a little more comfortable. From a place to sit and settle in, tissues for the moments when emotions come up, cozy blankets for added comfort, and tools to support reflection, creativity, and connection, each piece of the space has a purpose.

We know starting therapy can feel overwhelming, which is why we work to create an environment where you can walk in, take a breath, and feel welcomed.

At MJA Behavioral Health & Wellness, every detail is chosen with you in mind.

MJA Behavioral Health & Wellness is excited to partner with More to Say Pediatric Development & Therapy for a FREE caregiver webinar, Borrow My Calm: The Power of Co-Regulation.

Our clinician, Krystal Nazario, LMSW, will be joining Rebecca Hale, Occupational Therapist, to share practical, evidence-based strategies that help caregivers stay grounded during difficult moments and support their children's emotional regulation.

When caregivers understand the power of co-regulation, they can build stronger connections, navigate big emotions with more confidence, and lay the foundation for lifelong emotional resilience.

Healing isn't always obvious.

We often expect progress to look like waking up one day and feeling "better." In reality, healing is rarely a straight line. Some days you'll feel lighter, and others may feel like you're right back where you started.

But moving forward doesn't mean you never struggle again. It means you're responding differently. You're recognizing patterns sooner, setting healthier boundaries, asking for help, or giving yourself grace when things feel hard.

The most meaningful progress is often the kind you can't see right away.

If your healing journey doesn't look perfect, you're not doing it wrong. At MJA Behavioral Health & Wellness, we're here to support you through every step, the breakthroughs, the setbacks, and everything in between.

A little plant can make a big difference.

Our Fairfield propagation wall is growing for a cause this quarter! Each plant is just $5, with all proceeds being donated to Adam’s House to support their work providing connection, support, and community to individuals and families navigating grief.

Stop by our Fairfield office, pick out a plant to take home, and help us give back to an organization doing meaningful work in our community.
