Did you know that the individuals we serve are capable of so much more than we give them credit for? They don't just exist in our communities, they thrive. They thrive, in part, because of the opportunities within our communities here in southwest Iowa to be engaged. It might be through a church, a job, or even a service organization.

This week some of our day hab participants learned about (and practiced) CPR. A big THANK YOU to Summer from Montgomery County Public Health-Iowa for presenting this Friends and Family CPR education class!! We learned SO much!!

The rainy weather was a little disappointing during last night's National Night Out in Red Oak, but we stuck it out and had a great time with the folks who did swing by our table. We served LOTS of root beer floats and stayed so busy we hardly had time to take any pictures!

That's a wrap, folks! Another successful golf tournament in the books. Despite the rain last night, we had a perfectly sunny (and kind of steamy) day for our tournament. A great big THANK YOU to all the golfers who spent their day with us, to all our sponsors and donors, and to our tireless volunteers who made the day run so smoothly, and to Cole Haynes with the Ball Cannon!
