🎨 Painting with Patty 🎨

Yesterday our residents had a wonderful time participating in Painting with Patty! Everyone got creative as we mixed paint with Elmer’s glue to create a unique marbling effect.

Residents poured the colorful mixture onto their canvases and used a gentle tilting technique to swirl and blend the paint, resulting in beautiful, one-of-a-kind abstract masterpieces. Each piece turned out so vibrant and full of personality! 🌈✨

A heartfelt thank you to Patty for volunteering her time and for generously bringing in all the supplies to make this special activity possible. We truly appreciate your kindness and creativity in helping our residents enjoy such a fun and engaging experience. 💙

🌞 A Beautiful Afternoon Exploring Our Local Lakes 🌊

Yesterday our residents enjoyed a relaxing afternoon touring a few of our beautiful local lakes. We made a special stop at St. James Lake, where everyone took in the peaceful views while enjoying a delicious trail mix snack.

With the sun shining, a gentle breeze in the air, and wonderful company, it was the perfect day to get out, enjoy nature, and appreciate the beauty our community has to offer. Sometimes the simplest outings create the sweetest memories. 💙

A visit from the Elm Creek 4-H Club! 🐥🐄 🐐🐑🐰

Our residents had an unforgettable afternoon in June when the Elm Creek 4-H Club brought a wonderful variety of farm animals to visit, creating our very own petting zoo right in the parking lot!

From petting the animals to watching them up close, there were smiles all around as residents enjoyed this unique and interactive experience. Visits like these bring so much joy, spark wonderful conversations, and create lasting memories for everyone involved.

Who says you have to wait until December for a little holiday magic? Our Memory Care residents celebrated Christmas in July a few weeks ago by creating their very own “snow” using shaving cream and baking soda!

Residents had a wonderful time exploring the soft, cool texture of the fake snow through a fun sensory experience. Together, we shaped the snow into an adorable mini snowman, bringing plenty of smiles and laughter!

Last Friday, we gathered to celebrate all of our wonderful July birthdays with delicious cake, great company, and fantastic entertainment by Lee Kanten! 🎶

With six birthdays to celebrate, it was an afternoon filled with smiles, laughter, singing along, and making special memories together. We are so grateful for the joy and talent Lee brought to our celebration, helping make the day even more memorable.

Our talented residents spent time creating these beautiful watercolor butterfly paintings, each one as unique as the artist who painted it. Watercolor painting is a wonderful way to encourage creativity, relaxation, and self-expression while enjoying time together with friends.

Yesterday, our residents enjoyed a wonderful lunch outing to the Channel Inn in Fairmont! 🍔🍟

Everyone had a great time getting out into the community while enjoying delicious burgers, crispy chicken strips, fries and tator tots. It was a fun afternoon filled with great food. We had a fun afternoon celebrating one of our special residents as she reached the remarkable milestone of 100 years old! 💜

Surrounded by her family, friends, fellow residents, and our dedicated staff, the room was filled with laughter, hugs, and countless cherished memories. It was a beautiful reminder of the love, wisdom, and joy she has shared throughout the years.
