You can round an intersection and somehow… it still looks sharp 👀 ⬇️

This happens a lot when a thick line meets a thin one, so in this video I’m showing you exactly how I like to round them in neurographics.

Neurographics is a drawing practice that uses lines and shapes to help you work with your thoughts, feelings, and what’s happening in your life.

Now, back to those lines.

When lines have very different thicknesses, a tiny rounding area often isn’t enough.

✨ One little trick: step back from your drawing.

If you still see a sharp corner, extend the rounding and let the two lines flow naturally into each other.

Think of the thicker line as carrying more visual energy. Allow some of that weight to continue into the thinner line instead of stopping abruptly at the intersection.

That small adjustment can make the whole connection feel smoother, more organic, and more unified.

A dream can stay on your list for years without ever becoming part of your life ⬇️

And sometimes, the only reason is that everything else keeps coming first.

💜 Comment JOURNEY if you’d like to join us for Fall Journey, three months of guided Mindful Line master classes this fall.

Because the truth is, “the right time” rarely arrives on its own.

There will always be work to finish, people who need you, and another urgent thing competing for your attention.

Making room for yourself has to become something you choose intentionally.

Your day can be full and still include a little time that’s just for you 💜

A regular Mindful Line drawing practice gives you a chance to pause, listen to yourself, and reconnect with what matters before the days start blending together.

That’s what Fall Journey is here for: guided neurographics master classes from September through November, giving you a reason to make that time for yourself week after week.

How do you know if you’ve rounded your Mindful Lines correctly? 👀 ⬇️

👉 Save this for your next Mindful Line drawing.

The key principle of rounding is that we’re not simply softening a corner. We’re mentally drawing a circle into the space of the sharp angle.

Our goal is to create a real visual impression of roundness.

A circle is one of the most harmonious shapes in nature, so when we transform a sharp intersection into an area that visually feels round, the brain receives a signal that this sharp area has been harmonized.

But here's something to keep in mind.

You can technically make an intersection rounded and still have it feel sharp when you look at it.

This often happens when the rounding area is too small.

Try stepping back and looking at your drawing from a little distance. If your eye still immediately recognizes the original sharp angle, the rounding probably needs to be wider.

Visually, that sharpness, and the inner conflict it represents in the drawing process, hasn’t been fully resolved yet.

So don’t just touch the corner with your marker.

Imagine a circle sitting inside that angle, and let the lines flow naturally into one another until the whole area truly looks and feels rounded.
