🇺🇸🌺 This Memorial Day, we invite our community to gather with us at Green Crest Memorial Park as we pause together in remembrance of the men and women who gave their lives in service to this country.

Please consider arriving a little before the 11 a.m. ceremony to enjoy hot coffee, pastries, refreshments, and meaningful conversation with neighbors, families, veterans, and friends from throughout our community. Sometimes the most sacred part of days like these is simply being together — sharing stories, memories, silence, and gratitude beneath the open sky.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend or the beginning of summer. It is a living remembrance. A day carried forward by generations who refuse to let sacrifice be forgotten. Every flag placed, every name spoken, every quiet moment of reflection reminds us that freedom was never free — it was entrusted to us through courage, loss, and love of country.

As we honor those who can no longer stand among us, may we also hold close the responsibility to live fully, kindly, and intentionally in their memory. ❤️🤍💙

These picnic benches are part of an ongoing effort to create a more welcoming, inclusive & functional space for our beautiful community, one that feels like a true memorial park.

Not just a place you come and go,
but a place you can sit and stay awhile, reflect… or simply enjoy a quiet moment outdoors.

With spring here and summer on the way, we hope this space invites people to slow down and reconnect.. with nature, with memory, and with the true meaning of being here.

There’s more to come as time and resources allow. We’re just getting started!!

I spent last Sunday water sealing/staining these beauties a deep robust chestnut & Man did they cure up just fantastical.

We have moved them to their seasonal location & we’re excited in our continued commitment to building a more inclusive, functional space for you and your loved ones to come and spend some time with those cherished so deeply.

Never forgotten & We’ll make sure of it. ✨

Over the past several weeks, we’ve been actively working through Phase 2 of our seasonal w**d control program here at Green Crest Memorial Park.

Two full applications have already been completed across the grounds, and for the first time in a long time, we’re seeing the results take hold — greener turf, stronger growth, and a noticeable shift in the overall health and appearance of the cemetery.

We see it. And many of you have shared that you see it too. 😊

However, over the last few days, we’ve discovered multiple areas throughout the cemetery where additional herbicides have been applied without our knowledge or consent.

While this may have been done with good intention, these applications have caused visible damage across several sections — interrupting the progress we’ve worked hard to establish and setting back portions of the grounds we are actively restoring.

Green Crest Memorial Park is private property, and all maintenance — including w**d control — is carefully planned, scheduled, and professionally managed.

We kindly ask that no chemicals or treatments be applied within the grounds.

If you ever have concerns about a space, please reach out directly. We are here, we are present, and we are committed to doing this work the right way.

We will continue forward with our scheduled applications and restoration efforts.

A Gentle Update from G.C.M.P

Lately, we’ve been tending to the grounds in a deeper way..
20+ graves have been freshly dressed and seeded, with many more to follow.

There’s something quiet and meaningful about this part of the work…
restoring the earth, preparing it to grow, and allowing each space to settle in its own time.

As these areas begin their healing process, we ask with care,
please be mindful of where you step and avoid placing items directly on freshly dressed graves.

The ground is still soft, still finding its place… a process that can take 1 to 2+ years.

With time, it becomes something beautiful again.

🌿 A New Chapter at Green Crest Memorial Park 🌿

We’re excited to share a recent improvement here at Green Crest. Several large tree stumps have been carefully removed, opening these spaces for something meaningful to take their place.

These areas are now being prepared for memorial granite benches — a place where families can sit, reflect, and feel close to their loved ones in a peaceful setting overlooking the grounds.

This is part of our ongoing commitment to not only maintain, but thoughtfully enhance the beauty, accessibility, and purpose of Green Crest for generations to come.
