Dr. Harold Turk, D.C. Private Coach • Maori Trained Healer & Bodyworker • Dr. of Chiropractic Chiropractic

Dr. Turk is a Chiropractor by degree, with over 20 years of experience.

I offer a one-stop shop for a conversational and physical therapeutic approach to healing, blending coaching work, traditional Maori-style body therapy and Chiropractic, to liberate and help my clients. Modalities of treatment are customized to include any combination that each client needs for each session. Chiropractic is an integrative, holistic practice, focused on correcting misalignments of

the spine, otherwise known as subluxation. He offers spinal adjustments to alleviate his clients’ pain associated with such misalignments. He incorporates these adjustments as a part of a body therapy component of his work, in order to deepen the release of tension stored in the body. Maori-style healing & body therapy

This somatic therapy (soma, meaning body) takes a holistic mind-body approach to heal the body and stored trauma. It is rooted in the indigenous modality developed by the Maori people, who are native to New Zealand. This specialized and deeply moving approach views pain and disease as an expression of stored trauma and stagnant emotions held in the body. To clear these energies, Maori-trained bodyworkers tune into an intuitive connection with each client and his/her body to support the release of those stored traumas and emotions at a musculo-cellular level. Private coaching

Deeply committed to healing, personal development and evolution, Dr. Turk knows the powerful mind-body connection: how our beliefs and traumas of our past drive our actions and impact our overall life, health & well-being. Dr. Turk has observed his clients' mental turbulence and emotional traumas manifest in the body and in every area of their lives. His coaching style incorporates intuitive and practical approaches that support clients as they make some of the most important adjustments in their lives. Private coaching sessions are available either live or virtual. Virtual consultation

This complimentary video consultation is to be utilized for prospective clients, in order to get to know each other, as well as to discover if my services can provide a solution for your needs. At the end of that conversation, there will be an opportunity to book an appointment, however the consultation does not obligate you in any way.

I’ve been thinking a lot about generosity these past several months, noticing it in others and in myself.

I like being generous: giving, helping, supporting, and providing for others. What I don’t like is how I feel when I’m with people or in situations where my generosity no longer feels appropriate.

I’ve realized I’m not interested in close relationships with people who aren’t generous in return. This doesn’t mean I keep score; it means I’m paying closer attention to the flow of giving and receiving, and to whether generosity is part of the relationship.

Generosity isn’t about money. It’s giving from whatever we have in abundance: time, energy, love, kindness, support, attention, listening, and resources. To me, it’s a spirit we inhabit — a willingness to give from the heart. Without that spirit, we may still be giving, but we may not be generous.

I’m also realizing that generosity without discernment can become self-abandonment. There’s nothing noble about continuing to pour into relationships where generosity moves in only one direction.

Healthy relationships have a natural rhythm of giving and receiving — not always equally or at the same time, but with movement in both directions and a shared spirit of generosity.

I’m no longer interested in relationships where that spirit isn’t mutual. That doesn’t make me less generous; it means I’m becoming more discerning about where my generosity belongs.

Sometimes the most generous thing we can do for ourselves, and perhaps even for others, is to stop giving where our giving is no longer healthy.

Just don’t get stuck there.

Sometimes self-pity is the place we go when the actual grief feels too painful, too vulnerable, or too difficult to access.

The work is not to shame ourselves for being there. It’s to learn how to move through it and discover what’s underneath.

If you recognize this pattern in yourself, and you know there’s something deeper you haven’t been able to reach on your own - this is part of the work I help people with.

You’re welcome to reach out to me privately, or visit haroldturk.com and fill out the Health & Life Questionnaire https://haroldturk.com/health-life-questionnaire/ - I’d be happy to check it out & provide some feedback & solutions.

And sometimes the reason we stay stuck isn’t because we don’t know what to do. It’s because some part of us still doesn’t feel safe enough to do it.

That’s the work.

If you’re tired of understanding your patterns intellectually but still finding yourself repeating them emotionally, physically, or relationally, I may be able to help.

You can learn more and fill out my Health & Life Questionnaire at haroldturk.com.

Hey y’all,

My client and friend, Adam Moses, and I made a fun video about my work to give people a better visual of what it actually looks like.

Sometimes, when a person—or the work they do—doesn’t fit neatly into a typical box, it can be hard for people to fully understand or visualize. Hopefully, this video helps with that.

All the credit goes to Adam for his filming and editing skills. If you ever need help with any kind of production, I highly recommend him. He’s talented, reliable, and an overall good egg.

For those of you who are curious and willing, head to my website and fill out my Health & Life Questionnaire. I’d be happy to take a look and offer some feedback and solutions: haroldturk.com/questionnaire
