Watching this pro soccer player absolutely dominate her single-leg Romanian deadlifts (SL RDLs).

We’re loading it up heavy today with 16kg (35.2 lbs) to push her posterior chain and lock in that dynamic stability. When you’re training to get back on the pitch, every single rep requires perfect technique—no shortcuts, just elite ex*****on.

Building that foundation to come back stronger than ever. Let’s work!

Always train both legs!

Effective and efficient rehab is criterion-based, not time-based.

20 days post-op and already back to running? 🤯🥎

Huge shoutout to this high school softball star! Her exceptional dedication to her clinic and home exercises has paid off—improving her quad strength and knee range of motion (ROM) while reducing swelling and pain.

The secret weapon today? The Boost 3 microgravity treadmill. 🚀

She’s running completely pain-free at 70% body weight and 6.0 mph. This lets her get all the high-level athletic conditioning she needs without the high-impact stress on her healing knee.

Why the Boost microgravity treadmill rehab is a game-changer:

🔹 Reduced Impact: Less joint stress, maximum safety.
🔹 Accelerated Recovery: Returns athletes to running weeks ahead of traditional timelines.
🔹 Pain-Free Mechanics: Allows her to lock in perfect running form without discomfort.

True durability isn’t just about healing; it’s about building long-term performance. 🎯

⚠️ Important: You must be medically cleared before performing this exercise

Effective and efficient rehab is criterion-based, not time-based.

Go behind the scenes of elite sports rehabilitation! ⚽️

This video shows a professional women’s soccer player in Phase 2 of her ACL reconstruction recovery. She’s performing kickbacks while wearing Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) bands to maximize systemic and strength benefits early in the rehab process.

Why BFR is a game-changer for ACL rehab:

✅ High Metabolic Stress (mimics heavy lifting)
✅ Muscle Hypertrophy at Low Loads (safe for healing grafts)
✅ Decreased Pain During Strength Training

Effective and efficient rehab is criterion-based, not time-based.

Check out the latest blog post by Matt Weissbach, PT, DPT, EdD, Optimizing ACL Reconstruction Rehab: A Comprehensive, Evidence-Based Approach | Phase 3

Bridging the critical gap between early-stage recovery and high-level athletic performance, Phase 3 of ACL reconstruction rehabilitation places a heavy focus on building explosive lower-body power and dynamic movement control. This phase transitions patients from isolated strength exercises to structured, multi-level plyometric and impact progressions—such as double- and single-leg jumping, drop landings, and deceleration drills—designed to safely restore reactive strength and rebuild athletic confidence. Because timing and technique are paramount, progression is strictly criterion-based rather than calendar-based, meaning patients must meet objective milestones, such as achieving at least 70%-75% of their uninjured side's quadriceps strength and mastering proper landing mechanics in the frontal and sagittal planes, before advancing toward a full return to sports.

Mastering the plyometric jumping sequence after ACL reconstruction! 🦵💥

In Part 5, she’s performing split jumps as rapidly as possible to help rebuild quickness and improve dynamic knee stability. 🚀

If you’re on the ACL comeback trail, save this post and remember these 3 Golden Rules for ACL Plyos:

1️⃣ Soft knees – Always absorb the impact.
2️⃣ Quick feet – Minimize your ground contact time.
3️⃣ Heels don’t touch – Stay springy on the balls of your feet.

Effective and efficient rehab is criterion-based, not time-based.

🔹Move Better 🔹Feel Better 🔹Live Better

Performing these exercises should not cause pain. If you experience pain while exercising, decrease the speed of your movement. If the pain persists - STOP. Mild soreness after exercising may be experienced after beginning a new exercise.

High school football rehab just went to the next level. ⚡️

We are in Phase 4 of MPFL reconstruction recovery, pushing the limits of dynamic knee stability. To elite-level athletes, basic rehab isn’t enough—we have to train the brain and the joint simultaneously.

🔥 The Setup:

✅ Movement: Squats with a frontal-plane bias.
✅ Surface: Shuttle Systems balance sport to challenge proprioception.
✅ The X-Factor: strobe eyewear to disrupt visual feedback and force the neuromuscular system to adapt.

To make it even tougher, we stack this at the very end of the treatment session to capitalize on fatigue. If you can stabilize when you’re tired, you can stabilize on the field. 🏈

⚠️This is not a beginner exercise!

Effective and efficient rehab is criterion-based, not time-based.

The tools available in a clinic say a lot about how seriously that clinic takes clinical care.

In Episode 7 of the Evolve PT Roundtable Discussion, our therapists talk about the equipment available at Evolve and what it actually means to practice in a setting that is open to investing in new technology. Vestibular goggles, blood flow restriction training, handheld dynamometry, reactive training equipment. These are not novelties. They are tools our team uses regularly to get patients better and to keep their own clinical work precise and engaging.
