Ernst & Young has named Fee Stubblefield Entrepreneur Of The Year® Mountain West winner, recognizing three decades of leadership that have helped redefine how senior living is designed, experienced and understood.
It started with a promise to his grandmother. That promise became the foundation for a different approach to senior living rooted in belonging, purpose and human connection.
This recognition honors the impact of Fee's leadership. By investing in people, empowering caregivers, creating award-winning environments intentionally designed to foster connection and well-being, and building and operating with a long-term philosophy, he demonstrated that exceptional resident experiences, meaningful careers for employees and strong business performance are interconnected. In doing so, he raised expectations for what older adults, families and employees should expect from senior living.
Throughout that journey, Fee challenged the profession to rethink how success is measured, not simply by growth, but by quality, belonging, workforce stability and the experiences of the people senior living exists to serve. He views this recognition as something bigger than one company or one leader. He hopes it will elevate the senior living profession, broaden the conversation around aging and caregiving, demonstrate what is possible when organizations invest in people, quality and long term stewardship, and inspire the next generation of leaders to enter the profession.
As Fee shared after accepting the award:
"Every person that's a part of The Springs Living is Entrepreneur of the Year because we're changing the industry."
Thirty years later, the promise remains the same.
Families taking care of families.
