It's National EMS week!!! In the past two years we have had to call EMS two times. We are thankful we don't have to call them often, but when we do we sure are grateful they are there and they respond. Thanks for all that you do for our communities!! (P.S. Both moms and both babies in those situations are healthy and well ☺️)

Mothers Day 💐
We want to take a moment to celebrate and honor moms this weekend! Mothers are definitely a big deal around here!! We get to see women become moms and then watch as their families grow. We see you.... faithfully wiping noses, mulching flower beds, baking sweet treats, and caring for your families and homes. We see you as you light up when we get to hear the heartbeat of the newest little one, we see you sigh with relief when that first cry fills the room; we see you wipe away tears when the heartbeat is not there, and when there is no first breath and cry.
Honestly, one day can never fully honor or acknowledge all that you do. These little ones that made us a mom truly have no comprehension of how much you do to keep their world running and keep them alive!! We want you to know we think you are absolutely amazing. Your quiet strength, your daily presence, your faithfulness in the good days and the bad, your resilience, and your joy....we see you and we honor you. Happy Mother's Day!!

Midwifery is not just about mom's and babies....it's about families. Several months ago we were privileged to support a family who were walking the extremely difficult road called cancer. We had the complicated conversations of how things would go in the situation that this dad-to-be was unable to come to the delivery, and we prayed that it would all work out that he could attend. As it happens, the Lord granted that birthday perfectly and all were present to rejoice in the arrival of this new little one. Today I received a card with the words "his scans came back clear and he is in complete remission""
I can't even imagine the feelings this couple have experience the past few days because I was overwhelmed with thankfulness. Midwifery is becoming a part of a family for a moment. It's watching a story unfold. It's an absolute honor to have the opportunity to weep with those who weep and to rejoice with those who rejoice. Tonight I am so, so thankful to have the opportunity to rejoice with this family and a clean bill of health. During this week of thanksgiving, and on the heel of this lovely news, I am thankful for each of you who have chosen us to walk with you ...to be a part of your family...to walk a portion of your journey with you. It truly means the world🩵🩷
