Sophia is back. 🤍

And we're really, really happy about it.

We've known Sophia for a long time, going back to when our studios were friendly neighbors. We're so happy those connections have continued - and that now Sophia is coming back to teach with us.

She'll be returning this Sunday at 10:30am for Stretch & Sound.

Slow down, settle in, and give yourself space to simply be.

Join Sophia every Sunday for a deeply restful restorative yoga practice accompanied by the soothing vibrations of singing bowls. As you settle into long, supported postures, the bowls are played throughout the practice - creating a calming soundscape designed to invite stillness, soften tension, and help you sink a little deeper into rest.

No rushing. No striving. Just supported movement, sound, and space to reset before the week ahead.

Come exactly as you are. Leave feeling a little softer, a little quieter, and a little more grounded. 🤍

And we're pretty excited about what's ahead, too... there may be some special things in the works with Sophia & Greta together. Stay tuned. 👀

We're so glad you're back, Sophia.

Imagine waking up in your cozy room in the farmhouse, slowly making your way downstairs and passing through Joleen’s beautiful collection of artwork - a whimsical, inspiring mix that somehow makes you smile every time.

Pour yourself a cup of coffee. Maybe settle onto the couch for a little conversation, or step outside for some quiet and those expansive farm views.

Savor a delicious, nourishing, home-cooked breakfast.

And then… no rushing off to the next thing.

Walk over to the renovated barn for an unrushed yoga practice.

The rest of the day might take us out for an easy hike along a local birding trail, or into the sweet little town of Spring Grove. Or maybe you’ll find yourself back at the farm, taking a nap, reading a book on the porch, getting introduced to an interesting craft project—or simply sitting outside and giggling at the chickens. 😉

Before or after a delicious dinner, we’ll gather again for a slower, stretchy, soothing practice.

There is space here to move, to rest, to wander, to make things, to laugh, to be quiet, and to simply enjoy being somewhere beautiful.

**Just over a week until our weekend at Big Raven Farm, and there are still 3 spots open.**

Join me for a nourishing few days in the Driftless - good food, spacious yoga, creative moments, nature, and a little room to breathe.

I’d love to have you there. 🤍

Labor Day began as a celebration of workers.

In the late 1800s, labor organizers were advocating for things we might take for granted today- shorter workdays, better working conditions, fairer wages, and a greater voice for working people.

The first Labor Day celebration, held in New York City in 1882, included a parade followed by a festival for workers and their families, a day set aside for recreation and enjoyment.

I love that part of the story.

Because perhaps one way we honor our work is by remembering that we are not meant to be working all the time.

There is a time for effort.
A time for tending.
A time for showing up.

And there is a time to put it down.

To rest from doing.
To enjoy what is here.
To let enough be enough.

In yoga, we practice both effort and ease. We cultivate steadiness, but we also learn to soften our grip - to stop reaching, striving, and doing for a moment, and simply be here.

Maybe that, too, is practice.

Happy Labor Day. 🤍

🌕 Under the Hunter’s Moon
A Full Moon Ceremony of Release & Renewal

This October, Catalina and Zoe are coming together at Fiora Fields for a special evening of movement, reflection, ritual, and connection beneath the full moon.

We’ll gather on Saturday, October 24 to slow down, reflect, and make space for what’s next.

Together, we’ll move through a gentle, beginner-friendly slow-flow yoga practice, guided journaling and reflection, ritual, and a full moon fire release ceremony — creating space to consider what we’re ready to let go of and what we want to carry forward.

Each guest will receive a keepsake journal featuring Zoe’s original artwork, along with warm apple c***r and a seasonal treat. We’ll have time to simply enjoy the beauty of Fiora Fields in autumn, gather around the fire, and connect with one another.

We’ll close the evening with optional ecstatic dance - a chance to move, celebrate, connect, and welcome in what’s next.

✨ Saturday, October 24 6pm-8:30pm
✨ Fiora Fields Flower Farm
✨ No yoga, journaling, or dance experience necessary

Come release what you've been carrying and make space for what wants to grow.

Registration is now open. https://www.wellnessliving.com/rs/event/spiritofthelakeyoga?k_class=1009945&k_class_tab=17867

There’s still plenty of summer left.

The warm evenings. The long light. The lake. The flowers. The feeling that there’s still time.

And yet… you can feel the shift.

Back-to-school lists are appearing. The calendar is filling in. Kids are getting ready to head back next week. This week is full of open houses, final summer get-togethers, and those last little pockets of unstructured time.

There’s something good about wandering away from the mat for a while, too.

Letting practice meet us in our actual lives - in the long days, the travel, the swimming, the gatherings, the messiness and fullness of summer.

And then, little by little, we find our way back.

Not because we failed to practice, but because life called us elsewhere for a while.

Because returning is part of the practice, too.

We’re feeling that return at the studio, too. More people are finding their way back to their mats, and we’re especially looking forward to welcoming Sophia back, teaching Sunday morning Stretch & Sound at 10:30am beginning September 13.

We’re also adding a few new virtual class options as we settle into the fall rhythm.

Some things are returning. Some things are beginning.

And there’s something really lovely about being here for all of it.

There’s still summer in the air. 🌿

And there’s room for you here.

Fall Equinox Yoga + Fire Ceremony at the Flower Farm 🍎🌻🔥

You all love going to the flower farm - and honestly, so do we.

Join Nicole & Zoe for a special evening at Highland Vines, a beautiful vineyard, orchard, and flower farm near St. Bonifacius.

We’ll begin with an hour of meditative, all-levels yoga on the farm’s outdoor patio, a unique space built around sacred geometry and an energy vortex. From there, we’ll gather around the fire to mark the Fall Equinox - a time of balance between light and darkness, summer and fall.

And then? The best part.

Wander the orchard. Pick flowers. Pick apples. Notice what’s still blooming. Enjoy the abundance of the season and a little time outside with good people.

It’s yoga, nature, fire, flowers, apples, and a beautiful way to welcome the shift into fall.

🍎 All levels welcome
🌻 Bring your mat, water, and any props you like

One of the pleasures of retreat is getting to be the one who is cared for for a little while.

At Big Raven Farm, the meals are home-cooked, lovingly prepared, and shared in good company. You don’t have to plan the menu, make the grocery list, or figure out what’s for dinner. You just fill your plate, sit down, and enjoy.

And then there are the yoga practices, the walks, the porch, the naps, the beautiful Driftless landscape...

A few days to step out of your usual pace and let yourself simply be.

There’s still room at the table.

Three spots remain for September. https://www.nikiscarpa.com/big-raven-farm-retreat

One class a week can become a practice.

You don’t need to come every day. You don’t need to be flexible. And you don’t need to know exactly what you’re doing.

A regular practice can simply be making a little space each week to move, breathe, settle, and reconnect.

Our 4-Class Membership is our most popular option, designed to make that kind of consistency easy:

• 4 classes each month
• $70/month
• Unused classes roll over, up to 6
• Additional classes are $16
• Use your classes across our different offerings

New to the studio? Start with 3 classes for $30 and see how it feels to practice with us.

Come as you are. Find a class that fits. Make it yours. 🌿

What kind of practice do you need this week?

🌿 A steady practice to help you feel grounded?
💫 Movement that builds strength and energy?
🌙 A quieter evening to unwind?
🧘‍♀️ Deep stretches and time to slow down?
☁️ A gentle practice where you can simply feel good?

Maybe you know exactly what you need.

Maybe you’re tired and not sure what you need at all.

There’s no one right way to practice - and no need to arrive feeling a certain way.

Just come as you are.

We’ll begin there. 💙
