Registered Dental Hygienist
We are looking for a Dental Hygienist to help treat perio patients and promote good oral health practices. This is a 1-2 days a week. We are a busy periodontal office and your schedule will mostly be Periodontal maintenance and SRP. SoftDent/Carestream knowledge is a must and we use digital x-rays through VixWin.
Responsibilities
• Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible
• Sterilize dental instruments properly
• Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
• Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
• Take X-rays
• Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
• Monitor supplies
Skills
• Proven experience as Dental Hygienist
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
• Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
• Outstanding communication skills
• A patient and friendly personality
• Attention to detail
• Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job
• Diploma in Dental Hygiene
• Valid license to practice
