OTs conduct thorough evaluations that take the individual as a whole into account. The specialized training of OTs and COTAs focuses on the rehabilitation and management of injuries, surgeries, and conditions impacting the hand and upper extremities. With a strong emphasis on functionality, occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants consider all facets of work, home life, and hobbies. Therapy encompasses education and exercises aimed at enhancing strength, coordination, posture, range of motion, and much more.
