The Bossier Chamber of Commerce annually honors exceptional individuals across various sectors, including manufacturing, healthcare, technology, first responders, military and education, who make significant contributions to our community.

Friday morning, in partnership with presenting sponsor Willis Knighton Health, the chamber recognized Jennifer Lee, RN, a dedicated school nurse with Bossier Schools, by presenting her with the Salute to Community Heroes medal during a special ceremony at the Bossier Schools Educational Service Building.

Ms. Lee, known as "Nurse Jenn" at Benton High School, was commended for the exemplary professionalism and swift response that saved the life of an 11th-grade student athlete who experienced sudden cardiac arrest. Her composure, medical expertise and effective use of an AED were vital to the positive outcome achieved by her and her colleagues.
