🧠 National Rehabilitation Awareness Week: Clinical Faculty Spotlight 🧠

Noelle Burton is an occupational therapist and Assistant Professor, board-certified as a Brain Injury Specialist. In our outpatient clinic, she works with the post-acute neurological population, with concentrated interests in stroke and traumatic brain injury. That focus extends into the classroom, where she's mentoring an OT student capstone project on a support group for stroke survivors.

💜 National Rehabilitation Awareness Week: Clinical Faculty Spotlight 💜

Dr. Amanda Mahoney is a physical therapist and Assistant Professor with dual certifications in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and Pelvic & Women's Health. In our outpatient rehabilitation clinic, she puts both specialties to work, focusing on lumbar spine and shoulder deficits, pelvic pain, and urinary incontinence. She's pairing that clinical expertise with research, currently pursuing a PhD in our Rehabilitation Science program.

🌟 National Rehabilitation Awareness Week: Clinical Faculty Spotlight 🌟

Mike McGill, speech-language pathologist and Assistant Professor of Child and Family Services, works with children at our Children's Center on speech and language development with an emphasis on early intervention and Autism Spectrum Disorders. His expertise is marked by his status as a Fellow of the Louisiana Speech-Language Hearing Association, and grounded in his experience as a special educator in Louisiana public schools before entering the field.
