Proud to share that Angel's Law is now in effect.

Senate Bill 32 began with bereavement nurse Kristi Lamarque-Bordelon, whose advocacy made it real. Grateful to her, to Kim Carver - State Representative for carrying it in the House, and to every family who shared their story. No family should face that moment alone.

We have been overwhelmed (in the best way)by the incredible response to our very first Birth Well Shreveport Doula Training Program!

First, THANK YOU to everyone who has emailed, called, shared our post, and expressed interest in becoming a Birth Well Shreveport Doula. We are so excited to welcome individuals who are passionate about serving mothers, babies, and families throughout Northwest Louisiana.

We have received many messages asking about the application. We promise we are responding to everyone!

As a growing nonprofit, we do not yet have a full-time administrative team. Our first priority is ensuring that the mothers and families currently enrolled in our programs and the doulas supporting them, receive the care and attention they need, especially as several of our moms are preparing to welcome their babies.

We kindly ask that you allow 48–72 business hours for a response to requests for applications or other non-urgent inquiries. Every email is important to us, and every request will receive a response.

Birth Well Shreveport, along with our generous funders, the Community Foundation of North Louisiana and the Carolyn W. and Charles T. Beaird Family Foundation, are absolutely thrilled by the excitement surrounding this opportunity. Your enthusiasm reminds us just how much our community is ready to strengthen maternal health together.
