However, my own experiences as well as those of others have given me the opportunity to also see the ways alternative medicine and good nutrition can truly prevent, improve, and heal many medical conditions and symptoms. My educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a MBA in Marketing, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Holistic Health, Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice and a PhD in Alternative Medicine and a Doctorate in Naprapathy. She also received a Post-Graduate certificate from the Texas Chiropractic College. I am a member of the American Naturopathic Medical Association, the American Alternative Medical Association and board certified by the National Association of Nutrition Professionals. As a mother of three children, one of the biggest dilemmas you and I face is stress and time constraints. We live in a high-pressure and demanding culture, and often our health and well-being suffers. It is no wonder we live in a society that is plagued with chronic health issues, nutritional deficiencies, pain, stress, and anxiety. My passion and mission is helping people live healthier lives holistically.

As I came home from my yearly physical today, I felt humbled.

Yes, I can order my own labs. Yes, I understand health and wellness professionally. But I never skip my annual physical.

Why?

Because you cannot be truly objective with yourself. Every doctor needs a doctor. Every practitioner needs a practitioner.

Today, my physician told me I was the healthiest person who had walked through his office all week. It made me happy-but more than anything, it made me grateful.

For over 20 years, I have dedicated my life to health and wellness, both personally and professionally. Am I perfect? Absolutely not. I’ve had seasons where my nutrition wasn’t ideal, my workouts weren’t consistent, and there may have been one too many bourbons along the way.

But I never lost sight of the most important asset we have: our health.

We spend our lives chasing careers, success, status, luxury, and more money. Yet when your health is compromised, when you’re in pain, exhausted, or facing a diagnosis, none of those things matter nearly as much.

I know how fragile health can be. It can change in the blink of an eye.
There is so much about health that we cannot control. But there is also so much that we can.

My life’s work has been helping people control the controllables, through movement, nutrition, stress management, sleep, recovery, and proactive healthcare, so that when the “uncontrollables” inevitably arise, they are in a stronger position to navigate them.

Health is not about perfection.
It’s about consistency, and showing up for yourself, over and over again.

It’s about proactive instead of reactive care.
Today’s appointment was a reminder that the small things and daily habits matter. The choices we make when nobody is watching matter.
It’s never too late to start.

As a functional health practitioner and Fascia specialist, my board certification as a s*xologist is often the credential that raises the most eyebrows. Some people have even expressed disapproval. But if you ask me why I chose to study human s*xuality, relationships, and intimacy, the answer is simple: we are human.

Humans are wired for connection. Our relationships profoundly influence our mental health, physical health, stress response, longevity, and overall quality of life. Yet despite all we know about biology, there remains a significant gap in understanding how our hormones, nervous system, emotions, attachment patterns, intimacy, and relationships interact.

You cannot fully separate the body from the mind, or physiology from psychology. The nervous system that influences pain, inflammation, digestion, hormones, and healing is the very same nervous system that influences trust, intimacy, connection, desire, s*xual connection, and emotional safety.

I became a s*xologist because I believe true health is about more than lab values and symptoms. It’s about helping people understand themselves, their relationships, and the biological and emotional factors that shape how they connect and are intimate with others. My goal is to help bridge the gap between science and human connection. When our biology and psychology work together, our relationships become stronger, our health improves, and our lives become more meaningful. *xologist *x
