We are very pleased to announce the addition of Celeste Straight, MD to the healthcare team at Shrewsbury OB/GYN, PC.

Dr. Straight is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist who earned her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University’s Medical College of Virginia and completed her residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical School at UMass Memorial Medical Center. Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, she is dedicated to providing informed, equitable, compassionate, and comprehensive care for all patients. Her clinical approach emphasizes shared decision-making across prenatal care, labor and delivery, and both preventative and therapeutic gynecologic services. Dr. Straight’s practice also includes reproductive health, gender-affirming care, minimally invasive surgery, contraception counseling and management, and perimenopause and menopause care through nutrition as well as non-medication and medication-based treatments. She is an active member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Massachusetts Medical Society, and serves as an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UMass Chan Medical School and UMass Memorial Medical Center.

We are very pleased to announce the addition of Margret O'Connor, FNP to the healthcare team at Shrewsbury OB/GYN, PC.

Margret comes to our practice from Labor and Delivery at UMass Memorial Health, where she enjoyed caring for laboring patients and their families for the past 8 years. She recently received her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Salve Regina.

Margret's clinical interests include prenatal education, supporting positive birth experiences and maternal mental health, primary and preventive care focused on nutrition and lifestyle changes, and adolescent preventive health.

Thoughtful and detail-oriented, Margret brings a patient-centered approach to both her clinical philosophy and her daily practice. She prioritizes clear communication and invests time in building strong patient relationships to promote trust and deliver individualized, high-quality care. Her clinical experience spans cardiovascular surgical care, medical–pulmonary intensive care, IVF procedural services, and labor and delivery. Margret looks forward to applying her diverse background to provide exceptional care within our private practice.

Today marks the official end of the COVID-19 public health emergency (YEAH!). As such, wearing a mask is now OPTIONAL when you are seen in the office. There are still many patients (pregnant, women over 65, immune compromised, etc) who are at high risk of developing severe COVID infections so we kindly ask that if you are exposed to COVID-19 or have any upper respiratory symptoms that you notify the office so we can re-schedule your appointment.
