Friends and Family,
We invite you to come see what God is doing and be part of the rescue!
Every day, I wake up with a simple prayer:
“Lord, show me where You’re moving—and let me join You there.”
I don’t want to run ahead of Him. I don’t want to move without His hand guiding me.And the more I pray, the more clearly I see that He is moving right here—in the place that raised me.
Piqua—my hometown.
The place where I learned about brokenness… and where I first discovered God’s sovereignty.
The city that taught me how far we can fall—and how deeply God pursues the fallen. It’s where I learned that we are utterly lost without Him.Total depravity is real. Without Jesus, there is no rescue. No restoration. No hope.
But with Him?
Everything changes.
I don’t know if you’ve ever looked into the eyes of someone who’s lost all hope.
Someone who hasn’t eaten in days.
Someone who hasn’t had a shower in weeks.Someone who truly believes they’ve failed too much to ever be forgiven…
I have.
And I can tell you this:
Those eyes never leave you.
They stay with you long after the meal is served. Long after the hug is given. Long after the prayer is whispered.
Because this is the reality in our hometown.
People are sleeping in cars.
They’re trying to raise babies with empty cupboards and broken hearts.
They’re walking through addiction, depression, isolation—and many are ready to give up.
But God.
God is moving.
He’s showing up in the dark corners of Piqua through His people—not because we’re worthy or strong, but because we are willing.
He’s using Awakenings Church and outreach teams across this city to reach the ones the world has written off.
We’re not the heroes of this story—Jesus is.
We’re simply the hands and feet of a God who never gives up on anyone.
This is what He is doing through Awakenings—every single day:
•Feeding over 150 people each week—not just with food, but with love and dignity
•Placing people in homes—then furnishing them so they feel like they belong
•Paying rent, fixing cars, and providing gas cards—because survival shouldn’t be a full-time job
•Offering hot showers and laundry services—because everyone deserves to feel human again
•Ministering in jails and prisons—speaking life where the enemy spoke lies
•Helping people find jobs, learn life skills, and walk into restoration
•Visiting nursing homes to sing, pray, and tell the forgotten: God still sees you
I’ve watched grown men sob over a hot plate of food.
I’ve seen mothers fall to their knees over a rent payment.
I’ve held the trembling hands of addicts who never thought they’d live to see 30.
This is sacred ground.
And the truth is—not everyone is called to be in the trenches.
Not everyone can serve on the streets or in the jail cells or inside the homes we step into.
But you can still be part of the rescue.
Someone has to send the light.
Someone has to say, “You’re not alone.”
Someone has to give—so that God’s work can keep moving forward.
That’s why B Cares—a ministry God has entrusted to me, and one led by faith and family—is prayerfully supporting this mission.
We’re not doing this for recognition or praise. We’re simply doing what God has asked of us: to love His people well.
In obedience to His call, and with hearts full of gratitude for what He’s done in our own lives, we will be matching donations up to $1,000 to help support this work—not for credit, but as an act of worship and trust.
We’re inviting our surrounding communities—our friends, our neighbors, and anyone with a heart to serve—to join us in lifting up the least of these… all for the glory of God.
Whether you’re able to give or not, I’m asking for your partnership in whatever way you can.
If you can give, here’s the link:

(You can also give in person or by check at 317 N Main St. Piqua,Ohio)
If you can’t give right now, that is okay too.
What you can do is pray.
Pray for this mission.
Pray for those we’re serving.
Pray for wisdom and provision, and that we never stop listening to the voice of God.
And if your heart feels pulled… come visit us.
Come walk the ground.
Come see what God is doing.
There’s no show, no spotlight. Just His presence, His mercy, and His glory.
Because this isn’t charity.
This is Kingdom work.
Matthew 25:35-40 says:
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat…
I was a stranger and you invited me in…
I was in prison and you came to visit me…
Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
And the Word tells us in 2 Corinthians 9:7:
“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give… for God loves a cheerful giver.”
And Proverbs 28:27 says:
“Whoever gives to the poor will not want.”
This isn’t about what we can do.
It’s about what God is already doing—and how we get to be a small part of His great work.
You may never meet the person your giving helps.
You may never hear the testimony it makes possible.
But Heaven sees.
And I believe with all my heart that God will honor your obedience.
Thank you for reading this.
Thank you for your heart.
And thank you for considering what part God might be calling you to play in this mission.
All glory to Him.
Always.
With love and a full heart,
Brandi
