We had the sweetest lil boys deliver fresh cut flowers and even got serenaded by lil Cason. Thank you to the Mom and grandmother Robin Mullins for bringing them. It really made our day.

Yesterday, residents took a trip down memory lane as they shelled fresh purple hull peas. We had some pretty fast-handed folks shelling. Some say they had lots of practice growing up on a farm. Times have changed, and with that change come valuable, lifelong lessons about how much we have learned, the knowledge we've gained, and the fond memories we cherish as we age. Our dietary department will be cooking this meal requested by residents: fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, purple hull peas, cornbread, and banana pudding. Our friend Joyce Gilcrease Simon will also be bringing us some homegrown tomatoes and cucumbers to go with it. Now, if that doesn't make your mouth water, I don't know what will. This is our happy place.

ISO someone who's willing to bring a vintage car or truck to nursing home to take pics of our male residents for Father's day. Date needed June 10th @ 2pm. I'd really like to have a sports car as well, but will settle for either. TIA
