That voice in your head isn't always telling the whole story.
Negative self-talk has a way of sounding like truth. The more we hear it, the more we begin to believe it.
But many of the beliefs we hold about ourselves were shaped by painful experiences, unhealthy relationships, or environments where we had to adapt to survive. Those stories may explain why we think the way we do—but they don't always reflect who we are today.
One of the most powerful questions therapy invites us to ask is:
"What else is true?"
That single question creates space for compassion, curiosity, and a more balanced understanding of ourselves.
Healing isn't about pretending everything is okay.
It's about challenging the stories that keep us stuck and making room for a fuller truth.
