Breast cancer awareness starts with knowing the facts. 💗

Some common misconceptions can make it easy to overlook the importance of breast health and screening. The truth is, breast cancer can occur without a known family history and may not always present with a noticeable lump.

If you or someone you love notices any changes or symptoms that seem concerning, speak with your healthcare provider.

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the American Cancer Society reminds us that knowing the signs and symptoms of breast cancer can help with early detection. Here are some changes to watch for*:

🎀 New lump or mass in the breast or underarm
🎀 Swelling of all or part of the breast
🎀 Skin dimpling, redness, flaking, or thickening
🎀 Ni**le retraction or other ni**le changes
🎀 Breast or ni**le pain

If you notice any new or unusual breast changes, talk with a healthcare provider. Regular breast cancer screening is also important, even when you have no symptoms. Early detection can make a difference.

It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month🩷

With 1 in 8 women expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime, staying informed about breast health is more important than ever.

Imaging plays a critical role in the detection and diagnosis of breast cancer, often helping identify abnormalities before symptoms develop. Knowing your risk and staying up to date with recommended screenings are important steps in taking charge of your health.

This October, let’s encourage the women in our lives to prioritize their breast health and stay proactive about screening.

Today is World Lung Day, a reminder that protecting your lung health starts with awareness and early detection.

A Low-Dose CT Lung Cancer Screening scan is a quick, safe, and noninvasive test. It uses advanced imaging technology to capture detailed pictures of your lungs using a very small amount of radiation. Its purpose is early detection of lung cancer when it’s most treatable.

If you are at increased risk for lung cancer, talk with your healthcare provider about whether a low-dose CT lung cancer screening may be right for you.

Early detection saves lives. Take charge of your health today. 💚
