Become an EMT with a class schedule that works for you!

Our EMT Initial Remote Hybrid
Training allows students to complete 4 weeks of remote classroom instruction online via Zoom, from the comfort of their home, office, or anywhere in the U.S.! This is followed by hands-on skills practice, exams, and clinicals in Simi Valley, CA.

The Process is Simple:
•Step 1 -Students attend 96 hours of scheduled Remote Classroom training via Zoom with a live instructor. Currently that is conducted M-W-F, 8am-5pm with one hour allowed for lunch. See below for sessions.
•Step 2 - Once Step 1 is complete, over a 2-week period, students attend a 64 hours in-person EMT Skills Lab conducted over 2 consecutive weeks in Simi Valley, CA, Monday to Friday of week 1, and Monday to Wednesday of week 2. Hours for the 2 week Skills Lab are 8am-5pm with one hour allowed for lunch. Students can select that session during the enrollment process; it must be taken AFTER the Remote Classroom portion.
•Step 3 - Students attend a Psychomotor Skills Examination Day on either Thursday or Friday of the Week 2.
•Step 4 - Students participate in clinical shifts. The clinical hours are typically a minimum of two 12-hour shifts on either an ambulance or in a hospital emergency room and require a minimum of 10 patient contacts. Additional clinical hours may be necessary to meet the minimum 10 patient contact requirement. Clinical shifts are arranged by the Safety Unlimited staff and will follow the 2-week in person session.

It’s Safety Meeting Monday!
This week’s topic is “H2S Safety Starts with Awareness“.

H2S is a colorless, flammable, explosive and highly toxic gas. It may have a rotten egg odor, but it can also become odorless because it deadens your sense of smell, and you may not notice it after prolonged or repeated exposure. H2S can be found in many industries, including the petroleum (oil/gas/drilling/refining), agriculture, pulp and paper, and wastewater treatment industries as well as landfills, food processing plants and breweries.
