What does the S**T Team do when they have a stressful day at work? 😰 As you can imagine, working in addiction treatment can have its amazing days and also its challenging days…

You guys see a lot of the silly moments here (because we DO have a lot of fun most days!). But we can’t lie and say that we don’t have tough days (and nights) too — so let’s hear from some of our different staff about how they cope with a stressful day at S**T!! 👀

Another month, another successful S**T Kitchen Challenge, courtesy of "mad scientist" Chef Antonio, Assistant Kitchen Manager Jamar, and Kitchen Manager David! This month's theme was "Countries that start with 'E'!"

Today’s meal consisted of dishes from Ethiopia 🇪🇹, Egypt 🇪🇬, Ecuador 🇪🇨, and England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿! Check out the menu for the full breakdown and see if you can pronounce all of the dishes…👀

Shout-out to Antonio — he’s always putting on his research cap to prepare for each challenge and do his best to do each dish justice! Then he puts on his "lab coat" to get in the kitchen to start testing different concoctions of all kinds in preparation for his creative and delicious challenge meals!

Thank you again to David, Jamar, Antonio, and also Lisa for all of the work they put in to coordinate, research, prepare, cook, and present to make these kitchen challenges happen. They're a fantastic morale booster for both our clients and staff! 😋

Food is a crucial part of recovery!! If we can ignite someone's passion for food again during their time at S**T, then our kitchen team is doing it right!!!!

What else are you supposed to do with a rope this long at an addiction treatment facility??? Certainly it’s for tug-of-war!! 🔥

Catch our Administrative Team, Keaton & Sam Doyle, as they find a good use for this rope that they found while spring cleaning at S**T recently…if you think of something better we should do with it, please feel free to let us know in the comments 😂

The S**T Team had the opportunity to return to Prisma Health's MedEx Academy yesterday!! For our first session at MedEx, we brought along different department team members to share our professional insight from Clinical, Medical, Nursing, BHT & Alumni, and Administration! ❤️‍🩹 And we can't forget the S**T Kitchen's contribution of CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES!!! 🍪

Our team educated, shared, and answered some insightful questions from MedEx Academy's Tier II students, comprised of college students that are interested in pursuing a career in the medical field. 🩺 Any opportunity that we have to spread education and knowledge about substance use disorder, addiction treatment, and recovery, your friends at South Carolina Addiction Treatment are ALL over it!!

We're so excited to see the impact that these students will inevitably have as they continue down their path to help others, which is also our mission at S**T!

Big thank you to Leilani, Rebecca, Tammy, Will, and Sam for taking time out of their busy schedules to share their knowledge with the MedEx students!! We're hopeful to see some of them later this summer for a tour, some volunteering, and maybe even a S**T meal! 😉😋
