Dr. Pavlov oversees the care for our hospice and palliative patients. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine, and brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and compassion to his new role at McLean.

“I have cared for patients through some of the most complex and serious health challenges a person can face," says Dr. Pavlov. "Those experiences have shaped my understanding that true excellence in medicine means knowing when the most important thing you can offer a patient is not another intervention, but expert symptom management, honesty, and dignity. Our Butterfly Garden continues to show off this month! This week we’re seeing primrose, iris, columbine, salvia, geraniums, clematis – and the lady’s mantle is ready to pop. McLean’s Hospice Intake Nurse Coordinator, Cassandra Lokke-Seemann, RN, offered in-service training for area nurses earlier this month. Cass explained hospice symptom management and provided tips for communicating with hospice patients and family members, as well as shared resources information.
