We loved bringing residents and new guests together for some cozy fun this season! From puzzle competitions and cookie decorating to wine & cheese tastings and live music, it was the perfect way to stay social while staying warm. ❄️✨

We had another great opportunity to share life at The Parkwood on Dakota News Now, this time highlighting our culinary program and the incredible work of Executive Chef Matthew Regnier.

Chef Matthew brings a wealth of experience from Sioux Falls favorites like Pomegranate Market and The Treasury at Hotel on Phillips, and he’s found a new passion creating meals that truly delight our residents. From thoughtful menus to fresh ingredients and beautifully prepared dishes, mealtime at The Parkwood is about more than just food—it’s about gathering with neighbors, sharing stories, and building community around the table.

We’re grateful for Chef Matthew and our culinary team who make dining such a special part of daily life here.

We had a wonderful opportunity this week to share a glimpse of life at The Parkwood on Dakota News Now.

One of the highlights of the segment featured Gail and Sheridan, two of our very first residents, along with their daughter Kerri, who shared the perspective of an adult child. They talked about their move from Beresford to Sioux Falls and how living at The Parkwood has helped them build friendships, stay active, and enjoy a strong sense of community.

It was especially meaningful to hear how the experience has benefited not only Gail and Sheridan, but their entire family. Stories like theirs are exactly why communities like The Parkwood exist—to create connection, independence, and a place that truly feels like home.

Thank you to Dakota News Now for helping us share their story and highlight what makes this community so special.

Our residents rolled, flipped, and floured their way through a Lefsa-making class this week — and the results were flat-out delicious! This just proves once again that if it’s Lefsa, who wants to be Rightsa?! 😉
