On Saturday, Aug. 22, the Rock Steady Boxing program, coaches, fighters, families, friends and team members from The Inn on Westport participated in the South Dakota Parkinson’s Step BIG Fundraising Walk.

Our Rock Steady Boxing team took home honors for raising the most money for the Sioux Falls walk, bringing in more than $19,000. We also had the team with the most participants!

The event had a party atmosphere with entertainment, vendors and refreshments. Our very own boxer, Ray T., was named grand marshal for the walk and led the first lap, followed by hundreds of participants.

Congratulations to our team and thank you to everyone who participated and donated to this important event. The walk raised more than $120,000 across the state, with all funds staying in South Dakota to help those living with Parkinson’s disease. Go Rock Steady!
