HANSON EASTSIDE PHYSICAL THERAPY was established in November of 2004. It is a private practice Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Physical Therapy facility that is locally owned and operated by Chad Hanson, MSPT, ATC. He grew up on the East side of Sioux Falls and is where he continues to call home. He is happily married to his Junior High Sweetheart and has been blessed with two daughters and a son.
Chad has dual credential's as a Physical Therapist and Certified Athletic Trainer in South Dakota. He is a graduate of South Dakota State University with his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training in 1992 and South Dakota University with his Masters in Physical Therapy in 1999. He has worked in various hospital, private practice, High School/Sports Medicine and Geriatric settings giving him a broad spectrum of experiences that has shaped his practice today. Chad offers a strong background in the areas of Orthopedic and Sports Medicine. His special areas of interest are in the treatment of lower back, shoulder, knee and foot/ankle injuries. He also provides effective treatments for the upper back and neck, elbow, wrist and hand type injuries, along with treatments for myofascial pain and muscle tension headaches, and Vertigo symptoms. Chad's treatment methods consist of a one on one approach that focuses on patient education and awareness, prevention and self management techniques, while utilizing various passive modalities, manual therapy techniques, McKenzie methods of treatment, Core Stabilization and Strength and Conditioning programs along with individualized home programs to assist his patients in full recovery and getting them "Back in Action" as soon as possible.
