Last week, we had some rain but Lucy was prepared! 🌧️ She wasn’t prepared for our balloon volleyball competition though! She cheered the residents on as we challenged them with not 1, not 2, but 3(!) balloons they had to try to keep up in the air! 🎈🎈🎈

Lucy here. Sorry I haven’t been posting lately. On these hot days I have just been hanging out in my pool! We played Left, Right, Center and guess what? I won! Thanks Richard for helping me. So, next time we play, the pot starts with $10. Today, we had a tractor pull and I was not going to miss that! There were some close races. The first race ended on a tie so they had to re-race!! The big winner, after 4 heats, and a championship round, drum roll…Joyce!!! Congratulations Joyce!!!

Lucy here! I have been busy the last few days. I hung out with the girls making sunflowers at crafts on Monday. I kept trying to eat the seeds but couldn’t get anything out. Pretty poor sunflowers I’d say. The ladies liked them though. I thought maybe there was more food up in the coffee shop so I waddled up front today. No luck but I did greet a few guests. They really like my new swimming suit! I think I look pretty “cool” myself. I got invited to my first resident council. Pretty quiet group! But, they did say they love me!! 💕 Then, later this afternoon I went to the Country Store. Not much there for an old goose to buy. I did find some air freshener. I’m sure that will come in handy some day! Finally, it was supper time! And, I got to eat with the boys. Pete said he didn’t think I was a girl cuz I didn’t talk! Funny but, really Pete?! Signing out for the day!

Lucy here! Hope you are having a great week. This week, I went to my first shuffle board activity. Can you believe they put me at the end of the shuffle board. It was -10 if they hit me…and they didn’t…but what is up with that!? One friend almost got me … twice! I think she was trying! I also went to bingo. There was a grandma and grandpa that brought their grandkids to play with me and my friends. We loved it and appreciated their thinking of us. There were 2 men that were calling bingo. I guess they volunteer quite often. We sure have giving people around us! Honk if you want to hear more from me and my shenanigans! Lucy Goose

OUR GOOSE HAS A NAME!! The residents enjoyed participating by throwing in their ideas. We started with 25 different suggested names and narrowed it down to 5. The residents then picked from those 5 names.

After a very close race, (drum roll) our beautiful porch goose is named LUCY!!
