Named for Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom, The Athenaeum of Skaneateles is an intimate senior living community offering assisted living and memory care for your loved one. Known affectionately in the community as the “big yellow building up the hill,” The Athenaeum was once a large mansion that has been converted into single rooms for senior living, giving our building a homey feel and comfort

able atmosphere. By embracing The Peregrine Way®, The Athenaeum at Skaneateles provides a supportive environment for seniors and their families. We specialize in assisted living for people with Alzheimer’s and other dementias, encouraging them to lead full lives by continuing to grow mentally, spiritually and socially.

In honor of Google Earth Day on August 28th, we explored Google Earth. We learned about what it is, what it can be used for, how it started and even how it was funded. Then we had the real fun! We looked up the houses we grew up in and reminisced together.
