In Parshat Vayeira, Avraham welcomes three unexpected guests, not knowing at first that they are angels. He teaches us that every encounter is an opportunity to offer kindness, dignity, and a sense of belonging. We never quite know who has entered our tent — or how much our welcome might mean.
At Chicago Jewish Funerals, we’re reminded that in life’s most difficult moments, we are all guests in one another’s lives. Sometimes, the most angelic thing we can do is simply show up.
Shabbat Shalom!
