The residents enjoyed playing Yahtzee this morning and four of them rolled a Yahtzee!!
This afternoon they played horseshoes! And they all did wonderful getting ringers!! We finished the day playing 31 cards then sitting on the front porch with friends.

This bench and weeping cherry tree were donated by the family of Joan Cross. A beautiful tribute to a great lady who gave so much of herself for many years, to this community. May we sit, allow life to pause, breathe in the fresh air, and remember Joan as well as our own loved ones. And maybe hum the tune of In the Garden, creating a peaceful reflective moment.

Joan’s Celebration of Life was yesterday at Lakewood where family and friends gathered to celebrate a beautiful soul and a wonderful life well lived. We miss you, Joan. 💔❤️

This morning we played Bingo.
Mary Kate and Sara volunteered to do crafts with the residents today. They helped them create summer flower light up candle decor and Halloween cards. It was so much fun, the residents said it made them feel like kids again!!
After lunch, some residents played cards and a couple of them had an ice cream ride.

On Wednesday, we all learned how to play Poker. The kitchen staff made chocolate and pumpkin Whoopie pies for dessert.
Burleigh played his Accordion and wonderful songs for everyone to listen to and sing along. They ended their afternoon with Play Nine cards.

On Tuesday, Holland’s Variety volunteered to play Hangman with the residents.
They enjoyed playing Bingo. Some residents spent time together on the front porch.
After lunch, we played Aim for the Stars followed by Chase the Ace cards.
