One of our favorite things about this time of year is watching our pollinator garden come back to life.

This little corner of Harding Funeral Home is the wild side of the property, part vegetable garden, part pollinator haven, and one of our favorite spaces to enjoy. Every year we host our annual ladybug release, welcoming some tiny helpers that naturally help control aphids and other garden pests.

Right now, everything is just beginning to wake up. The dahlias are budding, the wildflowers are stretching, and the garden still has that “wait and see what happens” look that we secretly love. There is something special about seeing the beginning of the season and imagining what it will become.

We can’t wait to share photos when it’s overflowing with blooms, buzzing bees, fluttering butterflies, hummingbirds, and all the beautiful chaos that comes with a thriving pollinator garden.

Join us at Harding Funeral Home on Saturday, June 20 from 2 PM to 4 PM for our Hearts in Bloom Wreath Workshop, part of Harding Funeral Home’s Aftercare Workshop Series!

We are honored to once again welcome our friends from Gallivanting Greenhouse, who will gently guide participants in creating a beautiful heart shaped succulent wreath on a rustic wooden board. No experience is needed, just a willingness to slow down, create, and spend meaningful time in community with others.

As Father’s Day approaches, this workshop may also offer a quiet opportunity to honor the memory of a father, grandfather, or someone else deeply loved while creating something beautiful with your hands and heart.

The workshop will be held at Harding Funeral Home, Inc., located at 25–27 N. 2nd St. in Slatington. The cost is $30 per person and includes all materials and light refreshments.
