And a huge congratulations to Beau Kiger, son of Pelican’s own Bruce Kiger and a sophomore at PJP, for an incredible performance:

Meet Dionne Hinton, Front Desk Receptionist—a caring and compassionate team member who brings heart to every patient interaction.

• What inspired you to work in healthcare?
“My youngest son inspired me to work in healthcare because he was born with health issues, and I wanted to help other parents.”

• What’s your favorite part of your job?
“Seeing the smile on a patient’s face because we cared enough to listen and help them on their road to recovery.”

• Fun fact patients might not know:
“I literally get anxiety if I can’t go shopping daily, lol.”

• How does the Pelican Urgent Care team support each other?
“We support each other because we’re not just team members—we’re family.”

• One piece of health advice:
“Listen to your body. If something is hurting or you have a fever, please get it checked out.”

• What do you enjoy outside of work?
