In 30 seconds, let’s learn why everyone’s hearing loss can look different. 👂

Dr. Molly McCormack breaks down how different causes of hearing loss can affect different parts of your hearing, from noise exposure and aging to genetics and even certain health conditions.

Your hearing loss is unique to you, which is why understanding your individual hearing test results is an important part of your hearing care.

Football season is here! 🏈 Some college stadiums can get louder than a chainsaw or even a jet taking off nearby.

Here are a few peak noise levels recorded during unforgettable games:
🔊 Tennessee – 137 dB
🔊 South Carolina – 133.6 dB
🔊 Clemson – 132.8 dB
🔊 LSU – 130 dB
…unfortunately there are no official recordings of noise levels at Kenan Memorial Stadium or Carter-Finley Stadium, but we can all guess these estimations may be a bit low…😅

For comparison:
🚨 85 dB = Prolonged exposure can begin to damage hearing.
🚨 100 dB = Motorcycle or power tools.
🚨 120 dB+ = Threshold where sound can become painful.
🚨 130+ dB = Some of the loudest college football crowds ever recorded.

Which stadium are you cheering from this fall? 🏈👇

Do you ever feel mentally drained after a dinner with friends or a family gathering?
It may not be the conversation; it's the effort it takes to hear.

When hearing is reduced, your brain spends extra energy trying to decode sounds, guess missing words, and keep up with conversations. This is called listening effort or cognitive load.

Many patients are surprised to discover that after addressing their hearing loss, conversations feel easier and they have more energy at the end of the day.

Hearing well can help your brain work smarter, not harder! And hearing aids aren’t the only option for better hearing!

Don’t let hearing loss affect your quality of life! We can help. Give us a call! 📱919-300-5438

Have you ever gotten a mailing regarding “NEW” digital hearing aids? The kind that feature an “FDA registered” “medical grade” hearing aid?

You might not know, but being “FDA registered” is not the same as being “FDA approved.”

Swipe to see the difference! ➡️
