To celebrate National Spidey Day, our amazing Engagement Coordinator, Kait, took things to the next level by bringing in a few of her real-life spiders for our residents to meet!

There was nothing Marvel about these spiders—but they were definitely fascinating! Our seniors were all in, asking great questions, making hilarious faces, and learning fun facts about these incredible creatures. Some were brave enough to get up close, while others preferred to admire them from a safe distance! 🕷️😂

Our seniors had the special opportunity to attend the dress rehearsal of Godspell Jr., and what a treat it was! From the first song to the final bow, these talented students filled the stage with energy, heart, and joy.

A huge thank you to the cast, crew, directors, and everyone at GTMS for inviting us to share in this unforgettable experience. Watching the next generation shine while creating meaningful connections with our seniors is truly something special.

The excitement was through the roof as Casey from Heartland Hospice brought the fun with an action-packed game of The Price Is Right! 🛍️✨

Our Great room was filled with smiling faces, laughter, friendly competition, and lots of guessing as everyone tried their luck at pricing everyday items. The energy was contagious, and the fantastic prizes made every round even more exciting! 🎁🏆

Our talented residents transformed simple canvas boards into beautiful 3D flower masterpieces, proving that creativity has no age limit. Each project was filled with imagination, color, and a whole lot of smiles! Watching our residents express themselves through art is one of the many joys of life at Ridgewood Senior Living at Historic Smithville.

There were plenty of smiles, laughter, friendly competition, and cheering as everyone took their turn. Activities like these help promote hand-eye coordination, focus, confidence, and most importantly having fun together while making lasting memories!

Today, our hearts came together as we honored and remembered the cherished friends we have lost during our Memorial Service hosted by Ascend Hospice. 💙🕊️

A heartfelt thank you to Rev. Laverne for serving as our officiant and leading such a beautiful and comforting service. We are also incredibly grateful to our special guest the_singing_mortician for blessing us with a beautiful musical selection that touched everyone’s hearts.

A special thank you to June and Nicky, Mayor of Port Republic, for sharing their voices and helping make today’s service even more meaningful. We also want to thank everyone who played a part in making this Memorial Service so special.

Although our loved ones and friends may no longer be with us in person, the love, laughter, and memories they shared will remain in our hearts forever. Today was a reminder that while grief is the price of love, remembering those we have lost keeps their legacy alive. They may be gone from our sight, but they will never be gone from our hearts.
