Every now and then you just have to POP IT.

No loud applause and no large audience, just simply acknowledging what you have accomplished no matter if it's big or small. Too often we walk around feeling unfulfilled, comparing ourselves to the paths of others, while overlooking the milestones we've reached through persistence, faith, and hard work.

As women, we often move from one responsibility to the next without taking a moment to honor our own growth. But celebrating yourself isn't arrogance, it's GRATITUDE. It's recognizing that the version of you who dreamed about where you are today would be proud.

So today, I'm going to POP IT and celebrate my appointment by the Governor to the Delaware Board of Mental Health and Chemical Dependency Professionals. I am deeply honored to serve in this capacity, and to contribute to the profession that has given so much purpose to my life.

So let this be your reminder: celebrate yourself. Acknowledge your wins. Stop minimizing your accomplishments to make others comfortable.

It's okay to talk heavy and know that you're that girl. You are the flex.
