I DID IT!!! I’M OFFICIALLY DOUBLE BOARD CERTIFIED!!! 🎉🙌🏾🩺

Allow me to reintroduce myself…

✨ Titia D. Widener-Williams, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, AGACNP-BC ✨

Today, I passed my Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner board certification exam! 🙌🏾

I completed this journey while working full-time, being a wife and mom, showing up for my family, AND continuing my journey as a DNP student. Whew… this journey has been JOURNEYING! 😂

But can we talk about FAVOR? 🙌🏾

I walked into that testing center today with my bald head, my nerves, my prayers, and everything I had learned. No wig. No hiding. Just me. ❤️

Ever since I started shedding more than just my hair—letting go of things that weighed on me and made me question myself—I have been FLOURISHING.

The DNP journey continues, but today I’m celebrating THIS one.

Free. Favored. Flourishing.
And officially DOUBLE BOARD CERTIFIED! 🎉❤️

🧠💕 Friday Brain Minute: Find the Joy

We made it to Friday! 🙌🏾 And today’s reminder is simple: find the joy.

Joy doesn’t always have to come from something big. Sometimes it’s picking your child up from school and deciding, “You know what? Let’s go get some ice cream.” 🍦😂

That’s it. No special occasion. No celebration. Just a little moment together that made us smile.

We spend so much time working, planning, taking care of responsibilities, and thinking about what needs to happen next that we can forget to actually enjoy the life we’re working so hard to build.

Those little moments matter. The laughter. The conversations. The random ice cream runs. The things that make you stop for a minute and just feel GOOD. 💗

✨ Friday Challenge:
Do ONE thing today simply because it makes you happy. No productivity required. No checking something off the list. Just JOY.

It doesn’t have to be a big moment to be a good one. 💕

Now go drink your water, take a deep breath, and be kind to your brain. 💧🧠💕

💗🧠 Thankful Thursday Brain Minute: Be Present for the Moments

Sometimes the moments that mean the most aren’t planned. They’re the laughs, the hugs, the conversations, the rides home, and the ordinary time spent with the people we love.

Life gets BUSY. And when your mind is constantly thinking about what’s next, it’s easy to be physically present while your brain is somewhere else.

Today, I’m reminding myself to be present for the moments. 💕

Gratitude gives us a chance to slow down and notice the good that is already happening around us. And sometimes, the simple moments really are the biggest blessings.

✨ Thursday Challenge:
Pause today and think of three things you’re grateful for. Then tell at least ONE person why you’re thankful for them. Don’t just think it—say it. 💗

Tomorrow isn’t promised. Be present. Love your people. Enjoy the moments while you’re in them.

Now go drink your water, take a deep breath, and be kind to your brain. 💧🧠💕

🐾🧠 Wellness Wednesday Brain Minute: Move Your Body!

Today’s brain health tip is officially Pinky approved! 😂💗

Meet Pinky, NP-C — Nurse Paw-titioner, Certified. 🐾🩺 Apparently she has joined the practice and already has recommendations. 😂

Her prescription for today? MOVE YOUR BODY!

Movement doesn’t have to mean an intense workout. A simple walk can help reduce stress, boost your mood, support better sleep, and give your brain a much-needed reset.

And some days, the best accountability partner has four legs. 🐾💕

✨ Wednesday Challenge:
Take a 20-minute walk today. Bring a friend, your family, or your favorite four-legged Nurse Paw-titioner. 😂

Small steps still have BIG benefits—for your body AND your brain.

Now go drink your water, take a deep breath, and be kind to your brain. 💧🧠💕

🧠💕 Tuesday Brain Minute: Protect Your Energy

Your time, your peace, and your energy are valuable.

Not every comment needs a response.
Not every request requires a yes.
Not every situation deserves your attention.

Sometimes protecting your brain means setting boundaries, stepping away, and being intentional about where you put your energy. Stress adds up, and constantly giving pieces of yourself away can leave you mentally and emotionally drained.

Today, choose what deserves your attention and let some of the rest go. 💜

✨ Tuesday Challenge:
Take a few minutes today to do something that refuels YOU. It doesn’t have to be big. Rest. Take a walk. Sit in silence. Get your nails done. Read. Laugh. Whatever helps you reset.

Protect your peace. Protect your energy. Your brain will thank you. 🧠💕

Now go drink your water, take a deep breath, and be kind to your brain. 💧🧠

🧠💕 Monday Brain Minute: Give Yourself Grace

A new week is here, but you do NOT have to have the whole week figured out today.

Sometimes we start Monday already thinking about everything that needs to get done by Friday. Work. Family. Appointments. Practices. School. Deadlines. Life. And before Monday even gets going, our brains are already overwhelmed.

Give yourself some grace.

Focus on what you can control. Take breaks when you need them. Drink your water. Celebrate the small wins. And remember, progress does not have to be perfect to still be progress.

✨ Monday Challenge:
Do ONE thing today that is kind to your mind and helps set the tone for your week.

You don’t have to do everything today. Just take the next step. 💜

Now go drink your water, take a deep breath, and be kind to your brain. 💧🧠💕

😴 Sunday reminder: Stop thinking snoring is normal.

If you snore regularly, especially if it’s loud, you wake up tired, have morning headaches, or someone notices you stop breathing or gasp in your sleep, please get it checked out.

Snoring can be a sign of sleep apnea. When you repeatedly stop breathing during sleep, your oxygen levels can drop and your body has to work harder. Untreated sleep apnea is associated with high blood pressure and an increased risk of heart disease and stroke.

And if you’re sleeping all night but still waking up exhausted, you may not be getting good, restorative sleep.

Ask your provider about a sleep study.

And if you’ve already been prescribed a CPAP, APAP, or BiPAP… USE IT. 👏🏾

Sleep is when your brain and body are supposed to recover. Don’t ignore the signs that they’re struggling.

Happy Sunday, friends. Get some GOOD sleep tonight. 🧠💤

✨ FEEL GOOD FRIDAY! ✨

Your brain needs joy, too. 💜

We spend so much time thinking about everything we have to do that sometimes we forget to make room for the things that simply make us happy.

Joy isn’t a waste of time. Taking a break, laughing, listening to your favorite music, spending time with people you love, or doing something just because it makes you smile can help lower stress and give your mind a much-needed reset. 🧠💕

✨ Today’s challenge: Do ONE thing that makes you smile. Big or small, it counts. And if you can, share a little of that joy with somebody else.

Protect your peace. Find your joy. And remember, you are doing enough. 💜

Now go drink your water, take a deep breath, and be kind to your brain. 💧🧠💕
