I’m in a season of strength.

Between my body feeling weak, breaking my ankle, experiencing a rapid heart rate, battling neuropathy, and struggling with the side effects of this clinical trial, my strength has truly been tested.

There have been moments when I’ve cried, screamed, and felt angry because of everything happening around me. Yet, I’m reminded of the messages woven throughout my books, Walking on an Unpaved Road and Yet, Still I Rise. God has given me the strength to rise and continue walking this unpaved road.

Why? Because the joy of the Lord is my strength (Nehemiah 8:10).

So, I will remain hidden under the wings of my Father, trusting Him to carry me through every challenge, every setback, and every victory.

The lyrics of this song spoke deeply to my heart while I was healing in the hospital on my last night there. We all walk different journeys, and that’s okay. God gives each of us exactly what—and who—we need for the season we’re in.

I’m grateful for His presence, His strength, and the people He places in our lives to help carry us through.

We all have a story to tell. Mine started 45 years ago with poetry, 8 years ago with breast cancer, and 5 years ago with metastatic breast cancer.

Through every chapter, I’ve learned that my story was never meant to be just for me — it was meant to help someone else heal, hope, and keep going. I know God gave me a voice to share.

Tomorrow (Monday), I have a scan to see if the medication I’m receiving during this clinical trial is working. 🙌🏾

I’m asking all of you to pray for me and touch and agree that everything is working out according to God’s will. I’m believing for healing, strength, and peace in Jesus’ name.🧎🏿‍♀️
