New school year, new schedule… and somehow the breakouts came too. 😭📚

Back-to-school season can mean changing sleep schedules, sports, sweat, makeup, sunscreen and routines—and your skincare routine may need a little adjustment too.

Kenny Padron’s reminder? More products aren’t always the answer.

If you wear makeup, reapply sunscreen throughout the day, or have significant product buildup, double cleansing may be helpful. Kenny recommends starting with an oil-based cleanser, followed by a water-based cleanser to properly cleanse the skin.

Bring your skincare products to your acne appointment. 👏

Seriously. Let your provider see what you’re actually using. Your cleansers, serums, moisturizers, acne treatments, SPF—the whole routine can help us better understand what’s working, what’s unnecessary, and what could potentially be contributing to irritation or breakouts.
