Wow time flies, it's been over a year since our last post. It looks like we have a lot more followers!

Welcome everyone to Dynamic Natural Medicine.

I want to take this time to re-introduce myself. I am Dr. Jennifer Read, I am a licensed Naturopathic Doctor and Acupuncturist and I have been practicing for over 10 years. My passions include supporting couples through their fertilty journey, women's healthcare and pediatric care. A newer passion has evolved from supporting women through fertilty and realizing that part of supporting women who are over 35 with their fertility, usually resulted in supporting them in perimenopause after they were post partum.

With all my patients, I take the time to listen, look beyond lab results and use a blend of western medicine and science with naturopathy and eastern medicine to determine the root cause of the issue.

As a licensed Naturopathic Doctor in Washington State I am considered a primary care provider, I am able to provide that foundational support while referring to the appropriate specialists when necessary.

If you are someone whose labs have always been "normal" but you feel like something has shifted or changed. Either you've gained weight you've never gained before, you've done everything and you can't seem to lose the weight, brain fog is even worse, and energy is low, I can help you navigate through those changes in life.

It's that time of year again to update insurance plans. As of January 1, 2025, we will no longer be in-network with Aetna for Naturopathic care of acupuncture and UnitedHealthCare insurance for Naturopathic care. We will continue to be in-nework for acupuncture with UnitedHealthcare.

A letter has been sent out to all the families that are currently with those plans, and if there are any questions or concerns do not hesitate to call the office 360-282-4014.

In the meantime, use those benefits while you have them and come in for that annual exam or some much needed acupuncture.

Dr. Read is finally increasing her hours in July! She will be seeing patients in office Tuesday and Thursday from 10-6pm, and offering virtual appointments on Wednesday's from 10-1pm. So if you have been waiting to schedule, now is the time to do it. So call the office today at 360-282-4014. There will also be other changes that will go into effect in July, so stay tuned for more updates in the next few weeks.

Dr. Read is back in the office two days a week starting at the end of this month, and her schedule is filling up quickly. So if you need to schedule a follow up, call 360-282-4014 to schedule an appointment soon.

As a reminder, the mask mandate is still in effect for individuals 2 years and up in healthcare settings which includes our office. So don't forget your mask when heading out for your appointment.

Dr. Read is officially back from Maternity Leave. If you've been waiting, this is the time to call 360-282-4014 and schedule. Dr. Read is seeing patients in person one day a week and offering virtual visits one day a week. She hopes to add on more time as needed. For now, here is a picture of who she has been spending most of her time with.

Dr. Read is officially on Maternity Leave and has temporarily closed her practice until 2022. However, there are still great providers to help you with your healthcare at Cedar Avenue Integrative Medicine. If you have any concerns or questions please call the office at 360-282-4014.

If you would like to follow up with another Naturopathic Doctor at Cedar Avenue, Dr. Oldenkamp will be available for her adult ND patients and Dr. Bowker will be covering her pager, and seeing her pediatric ND patients starting June 1, 2021.

For Acupuncture recommendations, those North of Snohomish, consider Vida Integrated Health in Everett, and for those South of Snohomish consider Starting Point Acupuncture in Bothell.

Dr. Read will be seeing patients virtually for one more week, before she is officially off on Maternity leave until 2022. This will be your last chance to request refills from Dr. Read or have questions answered until her return back to the office. So if there is anything you need, this is the time to schedule a follow-up appointment. There are still some open slots available for Tuesday and Thursday next week.
