Vaccines 💉

Let’s be honest—shots aren’t fun. But they are required for students to attend public school and are essential for protecting your child’s health and the health of others.

⚠️ Important for Incoming 7th Graders:
Students entering 7th grade must have the MCV (meningococcal) and Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) immunizations on or after their 11th birthday.
These must be documented in order for your student to attend school.

If your 7th grader shows up without documentation of these immunizations or a valid exemption, we are required to send them home until it's resolved. There is no provisional enrollment for MCV.

Texas School Vaccine Requirements
🎒 Pre-K (Child Care/Prekindergarten) Required vaccines:
DTaP (Diphtheria, Tetanus & Pertussis)
Polio (IPV)
Hepatitis B
Hib (Haemophilus influenzae type b)*
Pneumococcal (PCV)*
MMR (Measles, Mumps & Rubella)
Varicella (Chickenpox)
Hepatitis A
*Hib and PCV requirements depend on the child's age and are generally not required after age 5. �

🎓 Kindergarten Required vaccines:
DTaP – 5 doses (or 4 if the last dose was given on or after the 4th birthday)
Polio – 4 doses (or 3 if the last dose was given on or after the 4th birthday)
MMR – 2 doses
Hepatitis B – 3 doses
Varicella – 2 doses
Hepatitis A – 2 doses �

🏫 7th Grade Students must have all Kindergarten requirements plus:
Tdap – 1 booster dose (if at least 5 years have passed since the last tetanus-containing vaccine)
Meningococcal (MCV4) – 1 dose �

The baby who gets the most likes and loves on their picture will receive a free canvas print. If your baby was born and not pictured, we either do not have the consent form signed or the disk made it home with mom before we were able to save a picture.
